Just a silly question: What is role play?

Well, recently i have received some invitations about role play. And i have a question: what is role play?

i read the descriptions of the authors but i think i didn't fully understand... Right now, my defination of role play is people act as idols? A person can choose an idol from a group an act as he/she? It's like a play right? Do we need plots? Or we just do whatever we want?

i'm really curious and i wanna understand more about it. Can someone explain it to me? I'm really thankful for that

And once again, sorry for my can't-be-more-terrible grammars. My teacher never gives me high points in Writing (_ _|||)

it's not a silly question! i don't know what's role-play as well but then i learned it! :D

role-play is you act as the character not yourself. yeah, like you can simply choose an idol who you like to be and then you act as themselves.

you don't need plot or anything! you can role-play freely unless the agency you joined have rules and you have to follow them.

most of the role-plays we've seen are just normal internet conversations with strangers but with using idol's character.
