Background |Haerin was born at Busan and als grew up there. She's the daughter of the owner of one of Korea's biggest restaurant lines. She started taking dance, jazz and ballet lessons when she was 8 and took acting lessons and voice lessons when she was 10. Because of her parents' busy schedules due to their work, Haerin's parents haven't noticed her. Haerin got used to her parents only noticing her brother Hyesung, who eventually moved to California to be a model and choreographer. She moved to Seoul when she was 15 and become a trainee at JYP for 1 year and at SMent for two years. She haven't told her parents about it, only her grandma knows. She was about to surprise them when she debuts but they end upsurprising her though, telling her that they've arranged a marriage for her. She eventually told them the truth, afraid for her parents to make her marry someone she doesn't love which made her parents mad at her. However, Haerin stays close to her brother, Hyesung by calling him and to her grand mother, Kyunghee. She visits her grandmother from time to time though.

Personality | She's talkative and easy to get along with on and off-cam, as she loves making people happy but there are also times that she chooses who to be super close with and the ones to stay acquainted with, nothing more and nothing less. She loves it when people opens up on her as she comforts them when they feel sad or gloomy. She becomes very serious and dominant when it comes to their performance, especially dancing. She loves pulling pranks on them and making jokes but hates it when people bullies, hurts or picks on her friends. Once she sees the people she's close with on the verge of crying or in trouble, she comforts them and makes their mood /feeling risen up. She's mean and likes to make fun of her friends but in a joking manner, she always hug them afterwards.
You'll rarely or never see her cry because of pain but when she can't hold it anymore or if it's too much she bursts out crying. She usually cries though, when she experiences something really joyous and when she becomes too overwhelmand happy. She has this bad habit of keeping all her feelings to herself, when she cries people keeps on asking her what's wrong but she just ends up telling them 'You'll never understand.' which makes people upset about her often. She carries all her problems and fixes them all by herself. She sometimes get annoyed but she never gets mad. She rarely gets mad. You'll never like it when she gets mad though, it's really scary and heart breaking(?) when you see her mad but she knows what proffesionalism is and never gets mad in front of the camera.
She's very approachable, 'joke-y' and 'talky' on-cam but keeps her image. You can't distract her when dancing though.

She also loves pairing her printed stockings and leggings with her translucent mini skirts and tutu skirts. How They Met | Haerin accidentally pushed the practice room's door forcefully and it happens to be that Kai was on the other side of the door. Kai stumbled down and was pushed to the wall, which led him to have an injured leg & a scratched arm, Haerin on the other hand haven't noticed Kai at all since she was got her earphones on. Kai got annoyed. He pulled Haerin's earphones off & shouted at her. He was about to nag at the younger girl and get furious but when Haerin turned slowly to look at him, he got stucked on his place & didn't know what to say. Haerin didn't know what she's done so she got annoyed and told him how rude it is to get people's earphones off & blah, she continued to talk while he just continued to stare. Haerin's suddenly spotted Kai's scratched arm and busted toe, she immediatley shook him & asked if he's okay which had snapped Kai back into reality. The flustered boy didn't know how to act towards Haerin. He didn't know why but he pretended to be mad & hate her. He acted so cold and arrogant to her. So that's how it all started.
How They Act Around Each Other | Haerin hates Kai a lot. She hates how cold Jongin is towards her, how conceited he is and he always finds and makes a way on how to annoy her. Usually, Kai fires up Haerin's engines when he starts to 'sst' her and show her his annoying smirk. She hates how he could make her heart pound wildly. Both of them secretly has a thing for each other but are too shy to admit and still in denial.
What They Do Together | Kai always lurk around Haerin. He visits her during practice only to annoy her. They always talk on the phone, well, Kai always called her after finding out what Haerin's number is. He talks to her only to annoy her and Haerin just ends up hanging up on him after a couple of minutes. They don't really know what they are but whenever Haerin sees Kai with another girl, he ends up running after Haerin. Being the careless girl that Kai knows she is, Jongin follows her around secretly, and he always end up saving her. Same goes for Haerin, she returns the favor whenever Kai's sick or drunk or whatever.
