Tiao Ning is a very happy girl, and makes almost everyone smile and is the groups mood maker, kind of like EXO's happy virus Chanyeol. She is smiling a bright smile except when she she is working as a model or when she is singing. Tries to make the most people laugh but most of the time is it failing for her. Background:
She was born in Vietnam, where her koreanparents lived, but they moved to Dalian in china. At that time she was very small so she can’t remember anything from Vietnam. Her parents were always taking her to movie and drama auditions to get her famous in China. At the age of 3 she found it very interesting with acting, but as time flew past she began to hate it, especially when she got a child lead role in a movie. And after the movie, a supporting role in a drama. Her parents got her a private tutor to teach her English, Japanese and Korean because it was there the good acting jobs were.

She didn’t have any real friends or anything, most people wanted to be friends with her because of she had been in a movie and a drama. Of course she didn’t tell her parents because she wanted to make the proud. When she was 6 years old she heard BoA’s Chinese single in the radio and asked her tutor who it was, and the tutor told her that it was a famous Korean singer, who had her debut in 2000. She asked the tutor to train her with vocal and dancing without her parents knowing and at first the tutor was a bit like “naah I don’t think this is a great idea” but after a lot of puppy eyes and begging the tutor said yes, but it was in one condition, to tell her parents she wanted to be. Tiao Ning agreed right away and she started to practice.

A year, where she was 9 years old, after with photo-shoot’s, practice and studying she finally told her parents what she wanted to do, and at first her parents was really confused over it, because they thought she liked acting, but they understood her quickly and promised her to take her to Korea for auditions. Her parents and she walked to SM ent’s audition and she said “I know I’m not perfect to sing or dance but I want this, if you don’t like it, its fair enough” after she said that she began to sing, and after she sang she began to dance. That time where the first time she really relaxed. After waiting for answer about her audition, she where told she was a trainee and she told her parents about it and they were happy for her.

She moved to Korea in a dorm that SM ent had some trainee’s in and she quickly became friends with them, started in school and began to smile more and more than she did in China.

Trainee background:
She had a long, probably the longest out of all members in the group, trainee time ever. From day one she had a difficult, with making friends because she didn’t have a ‘real’ friend back in china because of her parents and that she where a famous child actress. She wouldn’t trust so many and were at first cold and distant towards the other trainees who were older than her, actually some of them would have their debut.
After some years she met Yoon Hye, a girl from USA that also dreamed of becoming a idol. They became good friends and began to stay long after the other trainees, and practiced a lot and had fun together. One day Yoon hye were sick and stayed home, and Tiao Ning stayed in the practice room alone to practice some more when she heard some giggle and she stopped practicing and looked outside the door and saw some of the other trainees laugh. She asked them why they were laughing and they told her she should stop trying to be a trainee, because she looked weird when she danced and sang. Tiao Ning was confused, angry and disappointed at the girls that she told them to screw off. But the words they said to her, helped her a lot, she practiced harder and thanked no to the offers to be in a group because she thought she needed more training. And when she thought she was good enough she asked the ceo if she could debut, and in that time there actually was a group, a coed-group and she said she wanted to take part of the audition to be a part of that group.
