[A/N: Well I guess this isn’t really a story, but simply a girl’s views as she grows up with love. Enjoy!]

During my life, there were break ups, fights, misunderstandings, and times where everything seemed wrong. However, looking back at those moments, they were simply times of our adolescence where even a small thing could affect your entire mood or entire view of something. Despite those moments being ‘simply’ times of our adolescence, I see no reason why they should be pushed aside. In fact, I treasure these simples moments as they were my favorite moments. Love was one of those big and small moments that affected my adolescence the most.

Love to me is a magical emotion that can only be expressed every moment in our everyday life. We, or perhaps I, love a lot. I love, my friends, my families, my favorite shows, my idols, my books, as love is wonderful emotion that can lead to happiness. Then there’s the side of romantic love, which leads to another level of love that can make a person’s heart beat so much faster just even more simple matters such as helping them with homework or even just being near them. I find that side of love to be just as wonderful also.

When you love someone, depending on whom, everything can change in just a split second. A fight between you and a close friend, and you and a family member can lead to completely different results. A fight between you and your destined partner may lead to emotional wrecks. As we continue loving and experiencing the many different types of love in the world, does the definition of how one person defines love changes? I believe that it can. Of course, that depends on the other person wholesomely also. In this world we live in, it seems that no matter what, we continue to love and strive for love.

If you asked 100 people the question of what is love, I’m sure they would pretty much give you all very different answers, depending on their view on what type of love they’re viewing your question as. Of course, with that 100 people, one person probably would answer, “Baby, don’t hurt me, don’t hurt me no more”, however that’s a joke for another time. This is one of the reasons also why love is such a wonderful and even powerful emotion. In much simpler, love can probably change the world, one step at a time.

Love has taught me a lot over the times of, well, love. Love isn’t a right; it’s something that you earn, like many other feelings in this world such as respect. You can’t expect someone to love you back, just because you love them and may be willing to sacrifice your entire world for them. This leads to a paragraph I wrote a long time ago:

“I think when you like or fall in love with someone, no matter how bitter you may be at the moment because of that other girl he’s hanging out with, or when you’re upset because it’s been hours and he still hasn’t replied you, I think that when you’re in love, those are only emotions expressed at that single moment in the whole adventure of love. Deep in my heart, no matter what happens, I think at all times, I’m wishing for his happiness. If he’s happy, then I think that’s fine with me. Even if we’re just friends, I think that’s good enough for me. Even in the world of clichés and general love romances, nothing always goes 100% right. It’s part of human life. That’s why, even though I should be upset, or mad, or maybe both, I’m able to still carry a smile, as long as you are. I may have those small moments where I’m jealous again or upset until no end, but for now, as long as you are happy, I think that’s enough.”

Despite the fact that I wrote this a long time ago, I still agree with these words from the times of my adolescence. Indeed, even if love is one sided, I don’t think of it as a bad thing. Love can change anyone’s day in split second after all! Love is something that’s hard to let go when you grasped onto it. However, when your feelings are even returned, I think it’s even more amazing at the second.
