First of all, I would like to say Happy Birthday to AFF!  /throws balloons and confetti/ 

/sighs/ I'm late by a day here, I'm sorry... /dances to Sorry Sorry again/ 

This post will be about my journey so far in AFF! :D 

Firstly, I have been an avid fan of kpop since a few years back. I had no idea what "fanfiction" was, least to say what it even means. And about two years ago, I stumbled upon the term on twitter. Curious, I searched it up and found that it was actually stories about our favorite idols, stars, etc... Forgive me, but I had thought fanfiction was a horrible idea, the thought of writing stories about someone else in this world was absurd to me. /gets slapped/ Well, that was because I had not explored further, for example, by actually reading a fanfic itself. 

About the start of 2013, I had once again stumbled upon this term. Someone on my tlist had been praising a certain fanfic author, and had added the link in his/her tweet. Clicking on it with a curious heart. I was directed to a story, on this very site. I found the whole site rather interesting, and started searching for a few of my bias groups.

A whole lot of stories showed up, and I was surprised by the large community here. Reading one, the very first fanfic I had read (I cannot remember which one it was), I was actually quite delighted with the whole fanfic idea. 

At the start, I didn't sign up, nor had any idea what an account may do. (I was a little blur sotong who doesn't explore) And finally, when I saw a story which had the "Members" and "Subscribers" tag, I started wondering. I think it was around March last year when I made an account and discovered the many features AFF offers. I subscribed to a few hundreds of stories, eagerly waiting for updates daily as I found special people on the site who could connect with me. Many many people on the site are actually really friendly users, and I was always happy to make new friends and start a conversation going. 

A few other things I discovered were graphic shops, review shops and more of such unique things. It was wonderful, I thought, to use a few hours of your time to help someone whom you completely do not know, for free, or for just a few karma points. I admire the artists very much, for both being so talented at their work and for being so generous. /dances in joy/ People are awesome here! :D 

This wasn't my first account on AFF, but it is my second and main one. I decided to make this account as I found my first one a little disorganized and messy, My interest had taken on a new direction, and because I didn't want to unsubscribe to anyone (it hurts for the author), I simply decided to create this one. Besides that, I did have plans to start writing one of my own fanfics, so I guess I just wanted to start on a fresh page. 

And so, yup, I am currently a happy writer, encouraged by my many friends (thank you all so much for being with me) and the sweet commenters whom help me to improve or simply just make my day, being with me every step of the way as I continue writing, bearing with me for my horrid writing skills. I'm also a hungry reader, hungry for updates, but at the same time, hoping that the authors are taking a break (it's hard to manage, especially between school and homework and life...) and I just want to say thank you for their great writing, making me feel so ever sad or happy, and of course to everyone on this site, because I'm sure all of you are amazing people :D
