What You May Want to Know in BEIJING, China

Okay, so currently I'm in China... in their capital, Beijing and i thought i could share some things i see here.

1) UGGs

In Beijing, every girl I see is like wearing uggs. Not real ones of course.^^ Fakes ones. Selling from 20-300?RMB?

2) Stylish Army Green Jackets

Ok, maybe not a lot of people wear this but this piece of clothing can be found half commonly. But people who wear this jacket? can't go wrong in China I think.... lols. But yea, its good here with that kind of jacket.

3) Dyed hair

Yea, so here both genders dye their hair. I've seen many browns, some reds, and a few blondes. And many hairstyles for girls are bangs with permed straight hair.^^

BTW, the mannequins are like super skinny,. Like their female mannequins are almost as tall as the males plus they look anorexic. So do expect people with no curves walking around, people here walk more than going by car so lots of people have skinny legs and bodies...

And since its winter, its cold. Like freezing at times. When theres a storm at night, do know that the next day, its extra cold. Like its as cold as the mountains with snow minus all that snow stuff.^^

Small list of things to wear outside when cold:

1) A super warm jacket. A ski jacket is good for a regular day but otherwise you need somethig more than that. Like a winter coat that is super thick probably having feathers stuffed in them. Like fleece?

2) Scarf. You'll need this, trust me well unless you're used to that weather than you don't need it, why not?

3) 2 layers of pants. Probably something like tights under sweats?

optional:

1) toque?? Or somekind of hat that keeps the ears warm.

2) mittens? (keeps hands toasty)

3) visors? Ok, I can't really describe this but this visor is like for your math and nose. Its like when you get the flu, some people wear that mask over their mouth and nose? Yea. that thing but you can buy it in China for really cheap about 5 RMB? Less than a canadian dollar that is.

Places to Go?:

1) Birds Nest + The Olympic Swimming Pool and things in that area?

2) Tianahnmein? I don't know but that fail-ish pinyeng is a famous place. Say that in China and everyone knows where that is. Like a Chinese temple kinda thing where kings or some royal dyansty lives back then.

---- theres more for example -> the great wall of china^^ :D

but heres only some ok? ;)

Shopping Tips:

1) You could bid. Like in mandarin in Beijing though. If you're caucasion, asians tend to give you full price with no discount, so yea you may want to learn some chinese before going shopping.

2) Shopping places -> markets you can't bid. But like other places where there is a specific section for certain merchendise you sure could bid. For ex: Clothing, watches, christmas supplies?lol,...

----

KPOP stuff -> you don't really find it online but amazon in china ships real fast. So buy it online, it comes to your place in 2-3 days in Beijing.

---

Currency:

Okay since I'm Canadian heres something for you,  $1 = 6.5 ish RMB.

I bought a iphone case for 23RMB (SUEPR CHEAP :D) = $2-4 canadian OMG :D

BTW, lots of stuff is made in China, so expect lots of cheap things here :)
