don't let that upset you ;u; !! It's more likely for people to unsubscribe to your fics if its in subscribers only mode but then again not everyone will like your stuff so every author must understand that I mean you lose some but at the end of the day you're most likely gaining

Why don't you try to keep making your stories better and give the readers a reason NOT to un-subscribe.

trust me, i understand your feelings. back then when there were no subscriber-only option, people still did that ...unsubscribe...i used to be so upset. i don't do that out of respect for writers n not wanting to hurt them but people still do it to me anyway...lol. but nowadays...i'd rather them unsubscribe than subscribed but never comment/answer no matter what i ask them. that annoys me to no end. at least i know they're not getting to read it anymore, especially if it's on subscriber-only mode...though i understand for oneshot, it cuz they already read it all....meh...what can we do? the ty fate of fanfic writers...don't be too sad, you'll get used to it...n worse stuffs...lol.

Some people just unsubscribe when stories are finished because they don't want completed stories clogging up their subscriptions list~
so don't feel disheartened <3

If you want to put your stories on subscribers-only you have that right, that's why they were created for authors to feel more comfortable on here. I've had people unsubscribe to my stuff and at first I used to get very disheartened, but for me it just drives me to work harder and improve on my writing ^^ People also have the right to unsubscribe if they don't like it, I do that as well. But anywho: I'm sure you'll get more subscribers though who will continue to stay subscribed :) This stuff just takes time is all.
