Heyho. When I saw that anniversary blog post suggesting us to write about our "aff journey" my immediate reaction was to backtrack my blog posts and find that post where I was freaking out about the new AFF layout (back in 2011). It had happened while I was online so it scared me a lot. Come on, one moment it was black&white and the next it became green? It was just so distracting while reading. I hated it.
Anyway, this was my screenshot that I posted along with the rant, and it's what aff looked like immediately before it changed:
I actually don't mind the green layout anymore. But the first time they went green here, it was a much brighter green than now. Awful.
Anyway, I suppose I'll write a little more about my journey?
Story time!
I joined in May of 2010, and I was a lot more active at the start than now. I loved to read and write. The most popular story tags back then were all to do with Super Junior and DBSK. There were barely any SHINee fanfictions. My first fic featured Choi Minho (my ultimate bias at the time btw lol), and my main reason for writing it was "Hey everyone look, it's not another Jaejoong story! Read this. <3" <--- I actually remember saying something along those lines lmfao.
Also, I updated very frequently back then because I cared less about how it looked. There were a lot of comments and everyone seemed to love it so I didn't worry. hahahah. Nowadays I barely update because I'm very self-conscious about my writing now. sobs. Also I don't read much anymore. Busy? Uninterested? All of the above? Yes.
I went from reading 2PM only, to Super Junior only, to SHINee only, to Beast only, to Infinite only. I tend to only like to read one group's stories at a time. I still read Beast and Infinite sometimes, but I don't read any of the newer groups (including exo, bap, got7, and else). I've become lazy. : 3
My first username?
As you can see on the screenshot (can you?) it was abandonallhope. It wasn't my first though. I don't remember my first because I had to abandon that account due to forgetting my password (LOL). Other usernames I remember having were kohuke, -foolwithoutdreams, -foolwithoutfood, icaughtfire, and numerous others. Changing usernames used to be cheap, like 25 karma or something. otl
If you made it to the end here, let me kiss you. lol. I would have looked at the screenshot and then closed this, or maybe commented first, then closed.
