I really don't understand why people are making such a big deal out of it. I've read about 15 posts about EYK only today. It seems like it's getting more and more ridiculous the more time passes.

First of all, EYK never said anything about reviewing fanfictions. No word at all. The exact quote was that they "might use it in an upcoming video." To me, it looks like they want to do a skit that involves a fanfiction. Anyone remembers the fanfic scene in Reply 1997? Maybe it's like that, or maybe it's reneacting a certain scene or something.

Secondly, they have assured us that they will not use any fanfiction without the writer's approval. So what if people send in links? Martina is a fanfiction reader; she understands how it works. She won't be criticizing the stories because of or whatever. And you always have the choice to refuse to have your story featured.

The most ridiculous argument was "my story is only for the fanfiction community." I guess we need a reminder of how this fanfiction community exists. How many of us are new to AFF? I bet I'm not the only one who joined the train last year. How many potential fanfiction readers and writers are out there who have no clue that something like AFF even exists? I think a LOT. So are we really going to "refuse" EYK's fanfiction idea that we have no idea what it's about just because people who don't know about fanfictions will see it?

Well, I hope that at least some of you are re-considering your position. If not, go ahead and keep locking up your stories. At least I'll have a better chance of getting my stories in their video.
