To all you self important writers who are threatening to take down your fics if they are submitted to EYK or have really ugly things to say to EYK (bullies, you are being bullies), redirect your anger because I DID IT.

I don't care if someone submits my fic because as a long-time nasty I know two things about EYK:

1. They would ask for permission from the writer first because they are just as upset about plagerism and artistic theft as you are.

2. Martina LOVES fan fiction and talks about reading it all the time.

But I'm not even so worried about what they do because unlike a lot of you, I have a sense of humor and I understand that as a fic writer, I am guilty of the same thing we all are: I take my bias and I write him in a way that they probably are not in real life. I didn't ask their permission and they probably would never give it to me, but I write anyway. I make fun of my bias and I tease them, but really, it is all out of love but to try and act like I am pure would be hypocritical.

So what if EYK just wants to show you some love or be inspired by your work? Don't sit here and say that your work is 100% original because there is nothing original on the planet. High school AU, supernatural, angst, parody have all been done before. The only original idea you have is your arrangement of words. So climb down from your high horse and learn to laugh at life and quit acting like you are the end all and be all. If you are lucky enough to have followers, then why send them threatening messages about sharing your work?

None of you want to be embarassed and I get that, but what about praise or attracting new readers? If it wasn't for EYK I would have never found AFF (through one of their tumblr posts). And if we get new readers, some of those readers might donate to AFF and help to build the mobile app so why not?

And in a follow-up tweet, they said they will ask permission first so really, what are you going on about?
