Background : Yunhee was born in Busan, South Korea to a very loving and musical family. Yunhee was exposed to music at a very young age. Her father taught her how to play piano and her mother taught her about music and how to sing as her mother was a music teacher. She learned to dance by watching other groups perform and it took off from there. She named BoA and her family as her inspiration to become a singer and as her role models. She first moved to Seoul with her sister to begin training. She attended Seoul Arts High School and currently attends Kyunghee University with Lizzy and is majoring in Performing Arts.

How did you get in the agency : Yunhee was scouted while out shopping with her friends. She then auditioned at the S.M. Entertainment Starlight Casting System where she impressed the judges with her amazing singing and dancing skills. She then began training at the age of 14

How were your trainee days : When Yunhee first began training, she was very shy and had a hard time adjusting to her new environment. The other trainees would often bully her for her Busan dialect and that made Yunhee very discouraged. She was very homesick and became lonely. Yunhee would try to contact her sister, but both girls were always busy. This is also caused her to not be able to contact her parents whom she missed dearly. She would be one of the first to arrive and the last to leave. Yunhee would feel as if she was in her own little world where no one could bother her. After about 2 years, training took an enormous toll on her and she was in a slump for a very long time and her health began to decline. She recovered after 6 months and came back stronger than ever and didn't anything stop her. From that point on, she pushed herself to fulfilling her goal of becoming an amazing performer.
