[Important] Boss Nichi has important news regarding the site updated

Can I have a minute of your time to ask for your opinions on something?

If you haven't read the latest announcement, kindly click the link above. It's from Boss Nichi.

Summary: In order to have an AFF IOS/Android app like most of you want (not me, I'm fine), we need the money and in order to have money, we have to change the site name from Asianfanfics to FablePad, which would accept all types of content not just asian/kpop fanfics.

Keeper: I don't need an app. I'm fine as it is. But if changing the site is inevitable, then FablePad it is. Let's support Boss Nichiren.

UPDATED: If you go back and read the link, boss has decided to just do a fundraiser for the app :D

Then directioners would flood this site.

Not that I hate it, but it's the truth. I read One Direction fics as well and they're not bad! ^^

But I'd rather stick to AFF and not FablePad. It's better this way, just saying, but if we really NEED change, then go for it, Nichi!

Keep AFF as it is, change is good but I don't think that this FablePad thing would do any good at all :/

...... I don't know what to say... From my opinion, I would rather stick with AFF than combining all things that are fanfiction.. It will be a really chaotic place if all those non-kpop fans start entering here and writing. I think wars will be created. OTL

On the other hand, I would really love an app on mobile XD I spend most of my time here on my phone. (An android app would be nice). I think maybe they could create merchs (like what you said in the previous blog) and we could buy them to raise money.

Ohmy. I'm not sure I want all those other fandoms here. Also changing names... hm. I rather stick to what we have now. Although an app would be really useful, the cons outweigh the pros. :(

AFF contains our asian fandom (wtf). Jpop, Kpop and blah. There are already many fanfics that keep piling up ontop of one another. Kpop fandoms contain big numbers . So they already hide the not so big fandoms' stories. AFF brings the asian fandom together. So mixing ffo with aff is gonna become one heck of a mess. I know that if FablePad's gonna come along, I'd probably leave the site. And all of my AFF dreams would be CRUSHED.

Fandoms of race will be bashing against each other and, bang! FablePad would go out of control and it will shake rapidly and soon burst.
That's my theory.

I was once in a community with the Disney stars, Twilight and Harry Potter and ya' know, the other fandoms, they can be quite scary=.=' The kpop people had to hold hands with J-rock people at that site so that we won't be eaten alive and be judged for writing what we want... I don't want this site to lose it's identity=/

But, if the situation needs AFF to change its name and allow all contents... I... I dunno what to say anymore. I would respect the decision but would also feel sad at the same time. In the end, it's what's best for the site and my opinion is just my opinion right?

For me its a 'NO!'
I want AFF to be AFF. The investors saw the potential of this growing site, a site for young writers who are so much into the Kpop (Cpop,Jpop,Anime,Manga included).
