background:
Jang "Alex" Saeyoon is the second-to-next successor in the Jang Cooperative, Seoul largest photography studio agency. Saeyoon has always wanted to follow her dreams like her brother but for some reasons, she started to follow her brother's, no other than Jang Hyunseung, footsteps. She never shown her singing talent hence that she feels that everyone can do that. Unlike her brother, her parents were very protective of Saeyoon. They want her to become the heir of the Jang Cooperative, but because she wanted freedom, she left her home and moved to Seoul, where her brother is residing. During those years, Saeyoon has been working in a small cafe, in the running streets of Seoul and is currently living with BEAST.

Of course, running away didn't help. With the help of her best friend, Mir and best bud, Yoochun, going out late at night, Saeyoon was spotted by one of Bright Entertainment. He gave her the card and slowly disappearance within the mist. On the day of the audition, Saeyoon was very nervous. Yoochun and Mir as well as her brother, Hyunseung supported her and gave her advices. Before it was her turn, she went to the bathroom and unfortunately was locked. Being a tomboy she is, she broke the door, which Hyunseung paid for afterwards, before the next person before her was called, she bashed into the audition and perform with all her mights. It was her determination that got her selected.

Saeyoon was sent to JYP entertainment to start out as a trainee once she was accepted in Bright Entertainment. Of course, others might think Saeyoon got in due to the help of her brother, Hyunseung, Mir, and Yoochun. Though they gave her advices, Saeyoon still thinks it was her determination that got her in but was that really the case? Looking back into how Saeyoon got in, she always hum to Suddenly, one of City Hunter OST, which was also the song she used to during her audition. During her second year of training, nonetheless did she found out something, but it disappointed her. It was her mom who helped her get into Bright Entertainment. Saeyoon felt worthless since it wasn't her abilities. It didn't keep her down, instead Saeyoon even tried harder.

It was weird yet an awkward start but soon they become acquaintance rather than friends.
During Saeyoon's welcome party, Joon was the second to appoarch her after Mir. He was trying to hit on her but end up, rejected. It was pretty embarrassed for Joon since Saeyoon turned him down in front of everyone. After that day, Joon would try to get closer to her and try to get to know her more, though she has always ignored him and his silly plans.
Soohyun and Saeyoon haven't really met. Saeyoon saw his performance on Music Bank, which she was a co-host once, in replace of one of the host.
