background:
Being the Korean citizen she is, Hani was born in Seoul, South Korea. It was a common place for many Koreans to be born in and live. When she was about three, her and her family moved to L.A., California because of her father's work. Her father was originally born in L.A. and went to Korea for a business trip, which his how he met their mother. Their mother thought it was a good idea to go to California to meet their other side of the family, so this was a good opportunity to go do that.

After living in America for 5 years, Hani and her family moved back to Korea when she was 8 years old. From then, they stayed in Korea, but during summer break they visit California to see their other family and old friends. Hani never minds going back and forth between Korea and America, because she loved both places. If she had to pick which country to live in though, she would pick Korea, just because she was so accustomed to it and because it was her homeland.

As Hani started to enter college, she got into a good school that was quite far away from her home. She would have to wake up very early ever day to get to school and would come home late. Her family though it was best to just live in the dorms, But Hani it costed a lot of money, when she already had to pay for all of her books and school supplies. So, Hani looked around and tried to find a nice apartment or house to room with other girls her age. That's when one day, Hani was walking on her school campus around lunch when she heard a couple of girls talking about an apartment that had a room open for space; where a few other girls around her age would also live in. Hani thought this was the perfect opportunity, so of course she went straight to those girls to hear what they were talking about. After getting directions on where the apartment was, she headed over there after school and knocked on the apartment door, 3o7, that the girls told her where the apartment room was. She was surprised to see her friend, Jandi, to open the door. Hani talked to Jandi about moving in and told her what her situation was, and Jandi warmly welcomed her. After that, Hani has been enjoying her stay at the apartment that was much closer to her college.

Mom. Oh Hayoung | 39 | House wife | Like mother like daughter they say; Oh Hayoung is a very bright and positive person, just like her daughter. Whenever her family is in a bad situation, she always tries to think on the bright side of things and encourages her family that everything is going to be fine. She's very supportive and trusts her children to make the right desicions. She's also playful and is a very 'laid back' mother. | Hayoung and Hani get along very well, so they are close to each other. Hani is comfortable around her mom enough to come to her for advice about almost anything.
father. Oh Jaesuk | 40 | Business manager | Being the protective father he is, Oh Jaesuk is a slightly strict father. He cares a lot about his family and will do anything to protect them. Aside from his protective side, Jaesuk is a fun, playful father. He loves to joke around with his family and likes to tease his children, especially Hani, since she is the one who is the most easy to irk. He's very loving and he is also supportive, and trusts his children to make the right choices. | Hani is comfortable around her dad; she can sit down next to him and have a conversation normally. They love to go out together on father-daughter dates and they love to bond. 
brother. Oh Hakyeon | 20 | college student; cashier | Hakeyeon is a loving and protective brother, just like his father. He's also very playful, and outgoing. He's very easy to approach and is a very kind person. If you need help with anything, just ask Hakyeon; he would love to help. He likes to joke around a lot and people describe him as funny and outgoing. He is also a very bright person, and always likes to think about positive things rather than negative things. | Out of all of Hani's family members, She's the closest to Hakyeon. They're practically best friends; whenever someone asks them who's their best friend, they never hesitate to say that they're each other's best friends. They're very close to each other and can tell each other almost anything.

kim TAEJUN. 20 | college student; tutor | Taejun has a cold appearance, but it's actually the opposite from his personality. He's very nice and kind, and warm hearted. He's willing to help anyone if they need it, and he's always there for his friends. He's the best friend anyone can ask for. He's protective of his friends, so you're making the wrong choice if you mess with any of them. He's not very fond of violence, but if he has to beat someone up because they hurt his friends, he'll do it. | If there was anyone else Hani would say that was her best friend, it would be Taejun. Being the only friend of Hani, it was natural that they would become so close. Taejun is a very close friend to Hani's brother also, so it was bound for them to become friends sooner or later. Hani always comes to Taejun when she has a problem with anything, whether it be a math problem or a problem with life in general.
GEUM JANDI. 20 | college student; part time job as a waitress at a coffee shop | Jandi is rather mature and mother like to Hani; she watches and looks over Hani. She likes to keep things to herself most of the time and is quiet, but she's gotten close to Hani so after a while, she started to open up to her. Hani would always call her a book worm, since she studies a lot and gets good grades. To Hani, Jandi is the perfect roll model for her.

first meeting.
It was when Hani was running late for class when she accidently ran into someone. Hani knew she was probably the clumsiest on earth, but she wanted perfect attendance, being the good student that she was. Not to her surpise, when she was running, she tripped over something that was probably a rock or her foot, and crashed into someone that was walking in the opposite direction. She dropped all of her books and her bag, falling on top of the person. She stared at the person that was below her, noticing that he looked familiar and saw his face around campus a few times. Sehun and Hani gazed at each  other for a good minute, before he shoved her off of her and stood up. Hani stood up as well and quickly bowed, apologizing to him. Sehun said nothing in response, not even acknowleding her, and simply walked away to his dance class. This irked Hani, and ever since then, she thought of Sehun as her enemy since he was so rude to her.

Sehun and Hani act like cats and mice; they bicker constatly about every little thing and they get on each other's nerves. Sehun loves to tease Hani, calling her things like ugly or stupid, and Hani does the exact same thing back, or childishly sticks her tongue out in response. Sehun absolutely hates it when Hani calls him by his first name and not his nickname, which gives him more of a reason to dislike her and more of a reason for Hani to get on his nerves. When they first met, Hani thought Sehun was really handsome until he started being rude to her. After that, she refused to think that he was cute, although she secretly knows that Jongin is quite gorgeous and has good looks. As for Sehun, he thought Hani was actually a little cute, but hates clumsy girls, so it irrtated him that Hani was so clumsy and started to be mean to her. Although he does say a lot of rude and hurtful things to her, he doesn't mean it from the heart and hopes that Hani knows that, but he'll never admit it because he likes to hide his real and true feelings. Hani hates the fact that he can be so rude to her but nice to other pretty girls, but she's hoping that all of the hurtful things he says to her, he doesn't mean it. Maybe if Sehun fixed his attitude around her, she just might consider the possibility of dating him.

Throughout the story, I want Sehun and Hani to eventually fall in love with each other, but they'll hide it at first. Jongin confesses at one point and idrc how you decide to make him confess, but Hani will confess her feelings for him also, and then they'll end up dating.

Just like Sehun, Hani and Hyemi fight a lot and consider each other as rivals. Everyone in the whole school, even teachers, know about Hyemi's and Hani's bad relationship. It's obvious that Hyemi is going after Sehun, since he's known as the school's bad boy and is very good looking. Hani at first didn't really care that they always flirted with each other, but after finding out her true feelings for him, she wouldn't back down without putting up a fight. Hani and Hyemi then became rivals in general, and rivals for Sehun's heart.

As Sehun and Hani start dating, Hyemi then decides to just give up and go after someone else. She knew that Hani had 'won' their litle 'fight' over Sehun's heart, so she just decided to stop fighting and bickering with Hani, and become friends with her instead.
