personality: Jihye is cheerful and friendly 19-years-old girl. Despite her cute and innocent face, she is revengeful and to keep her feelings to her own. BACKGROUND:
Jihye is born on 14th November 1995 in Tokyo, Japan, youngest daughter to a Korean-Japanese married couple. She has an older brother and two younger brothers. In her family, she is the second child, the youngest and only daughter. She lives in Tokyo until she was 7 and moves back to her father's hometown in Gyeonggi-do, S. Korea, and they live there ever since. During her elementary school years, she was bullied due to her boyish looks and for being a wallflower. She was bullied and teased a lot by the boys (and girls, but mostly boys) at her school. At the age of 13, she tried to drown herself but her father quickly saved her. Her mother had arranged a psychotherapist for her to talk with. But sadly, Jihye never speaks out and the therapist herself told Jihye's mother that she quit being her therapist, as all of these were just wasting her time.
Due to Jihye's father's job, the whole family moves out again to Seoul when she was 14. And that means, new school. She was petrified to go to the school, but when she did, the school wasn't as bad as she thought. Nobody was calling her with foul names and she met a guy who then becomes her best friend, Taehyung, whom happens to be a member of an idol group, BTS. She liked her new life in Seoul and she felt as if she was reincarnated to a new person with a better life.
Day by day, months passed by, with Taehyung's help, she had turned into a proper girl with feminine looks and apparel. she started to sing by the road side at streets of hongdae and attracts passersby to watch her spontaneus performance. she had tried out for sm entertainment's audition but got rejected twice. luck got into her, JYP's agents saw her while she was doing her street performances and decided to recruit her to be one of JYP's trainees. She became a trainee at the age of 16.
