Safety Reminders

1. Don't give your password to anyone

I made the guide on how to hyperlink because this user was about to give me her password and make me do the linking myself. I would never ever log in to another person's account but then if she didn't learn how to hyperlink, she might have offered her password to another user and this time, this user might not be as nice as me, hahaha xD

Also I've seen many posts from users claiming that they were hacked. If they ask for karma afterwards, it's a scam. But to avoid getting your account stolen, never give away your password even if he or she is your friend. Friends fight. People break up. People do stupid things when angry.

2. When using a public computer or a friend's laptop or phone to access AFF, always log-out and clear browser history. Do not leave the AFF page open while you are still logged in.

3. As much as possible, do not advertise your personal contact detailsin blogs or discussion posts. Or your home and school address.

4. THIS IS NOT A DATING SITE. Don't be an easy target by telling the whole world that you are available orz.

There are boys here in AFF, if you are curious. Anyway, if you have questions regarding the opposite , drop your questions here or if you are shy, contact me via my ask.fm. Keep it non-rated. I'll have male friends answer them and share it with you in a blog. Trolls will be ignored.  But if you really, really want to have a friend that is a boy, you'll meet them when you are not looking.

5. Don't update the whole world where you are or what you are doing every minute of the day.

"Stats show that robbers check social networks to see if you're home." (read full article here)

"Teen's Facebook Posting Gets Her Mom's House Robbed." (read full story here)

"Facebook Status Update Leads to Robbery." (read more here)

1. Someone was willingly going to distribute their password? I guess it's okay if you're going to distribute for a really urgent circumstance, but only if you change it if you feel like this person is taking to long to complete a task or straight after this person says they've fixed an issue. Or don't do it at all. Just read carefully and follow the instructions they tell you.

5. Yes, definitely. This connects back to this bubble that some users live in, where they think that AFF is rarely targeted due to its lack of popularity or uncommon site for robbers to find information. But like I've said, AFF is getting more popular and exposure is increasing. You can't be too careless and easily disregard your safety/security on this site.
