Expressing my opinions based on watching up to the 8th episode of season 1. I will post another expression when I've finished season 2 hehe.

I'm starting to like mecha shows now. Anyway onto it.

However, I don't like how dull Haruto is at the moment. My favourite character at the moment would have to be L-Elf. There's this mysterious vibe to him since I' so confused which side he's on. Or he might be doing things to benefit himself? Well, I can't judge to the extreme since I'm only on the 8th episode. 

I think I like this show except it's not that life changing like what Psycho-Pass, Code Geass and Attack on Titan did to me, because some parts don't stand out to me like the characters, the progression of the story and the typical too-nice main character. He reminds me of Shu Ouma from Guilty Crown to freaking much. And when he (Haruto) thought his childhood friend had died in a car explosion (woohoo for deja vu if you know what I mean), he turned into this completely different character and went on kill-mode. I mean, it sounds only right that you can turn into this vengeful person when someone dear to you just "died", but it seems unrealistic at the same time because both characters couldn't have had mastered their respective powers in such a short amount of time. Well, when they first got it.

Another thing to complain about according to my preferences. There's too much romance going on. There's this evident love triangle going on and too much hinting of other romances too. It's a bit cringe-worthy, no offense. And the interactions between Haruto and L-Elf make it seem like a way for fans to ship them together or something lol. Maybe it's the choice of words of the English subs or their general "chemistry". Hm.

The progression of the story happens so fast yet to slow at the same time. But I like how someone has died and there was a slight attachment to that character (no not Senator Figaro he was such a selfish adult). It remind me of how people can die so easily. With the exception of the vampiric Haruto. Well apparently he dies but I'm not up to that yet lol. And apparently he gets amnesia or something?

I'm looking forward to the advances of New JIOR and the attacking of the Dorssian forces.
