My Life

History: 
Life with his family was not so bad -they had food to eat, both of his parents have jobs, and he was training to become a career tribute. His brother, Minwoo, also has the talent to become a career, and their dad urges him too, but he is very firm in his decision to become a blacksmith just like their mother. Hyunwoo questions this since he knows that his brother is talented and it would just be a waste to become something that is not a career or a peacekeeper; her mother says that she is alright with it because that is what his brother wants to do and that is what will make him happy.
During that year, when Hyunwoo was 14, news broke that the quarry had a landslide and that all people who were inside were either hit by the bombarding rocks or were trapped long enough that they have run out of oxygen. His dad never came home that day ...or the day after. After a week, they stopped waiting. Hyunwoo became more distant, less outspoken. Dinners were silent and their conversations awkward. They all knew Hyunwoo was the closest to his dad and that what happened devastated him but they did not know how to approach him. Due to this, Hyunwoo always woke up early to go to school, stayed late outside more -away from his house. He started being more serious about the Games; he practiced weilding a weapon, he then read books about survival and pressure points, he watched the recordings of the past Hunger Games again and again. He was eager to go into the arena and escape.

Personality: 
Kang Hyunwoo can be described as a distant, and vaguely threatening person. When he talks, it's usually straight to the point with the occasional swear. He's the type of person who gets bleeped out but he restrains from swearing because he knows a lot of sponsors don't like that kind of thing. He is usually patient, ready to wait -he's waited four years training to be in top shape for the reaping; but his usual demeanor is like the 'calm before the storm', as when something just goes wrong and he's not in the mood for that thing he becomes very reckless and impulsive. He loses it. He IS going to punch something. [Get your face out of his fist's range. Best advice ever.] Never challenge him to a debate, as he never backs down an argument, even if he's wrong he just won't accept it. If he can't retort- well prepare to be his personal punching bag. He's pretty much a bully when he's agitated.
He's not interested in talking to the other tributes unless there is a camera [*cough*potential sponsors], or he is talking to the other Careers; he plans to smooch up to them in a sense -but not the obvious kind. He is not really interested in anything but the actual Hunger Games ...and talking the old victors like Kang Munhee and Lee Minwoo; he'll probably ignore Jung Soomin.
As they say, old habits die hard. It not that old but there are some habits he has: when he eats, he just spaces out while he slowly chews -his comes from dinner at home where they don't talk. Don't try to talk to him this time because he won't hear you. Another one is, after dinner he goes straight to bed. Just imagine him having to attend a meeting after dinner: How many people will it take to get Hyunwoo out of bed? [A: I don't know either, but a lot. Probably.] This might become more of a hindrance in the Hunger Games where food is scarce and there is no actual bed to sleep on. Even if there was, they would be permanently sleeping in there by the end.

​If volunteered, why: It is a common thing to volunteer in this part of the districts, especially if you've been raised to become a Career. He trained for this. It would have been more unusual if he didn't. 
Family's Reaction:  Minwoo, albeit the growing distance between them, was worried since he is still his brother and even though they fully expected this since he was a Career trainee, it was a bit shocking how determined his brother was and that he got picked out of all the volunteering tributes in District 2. All the same, Hyunwoo's mother did not anticipate for her child to get chosen and was very distressed.  She is not that fond of the idea of another family member dying, after all.

Who visits before you leave:  His mother and brother. Although, he did give his brother the cold shoulder and his mom a blank stare.

Training

What do you do during public training: Hyunwoo trains with his mace and of course tries to intimidate the other tributes. He also wants to show off to the judges and his Careermates. Not much to his Careermates though, as he has plans to ditch them later.
What do you do during private training: He practices basic survival skills and the use of a pocketknife, in case he loses his mace. Although it is strange for a tribute from District 2 to focus on surviving skills, Hyunwoo has watched too many Hunger Games video recordings to know that even if Careers win on mostly killing off other tributes better than other districts, they usually die of natural causes and starvation later on while the others manage to survive the harsh weather and 'natural' disasters because they know more about survival skills than them.

Make Nets/Snares/Traps:  A bit. He can only make snares to catch wild animals, fishes not included.

Handle Pain:  No. Surprisingly. ...Or maybe not so surprisingly.
Kill:  Yes, when he does it's either him being veeery calm or being animalistic [when he loses it].
Watching Others Die:  Yes; he doesn't feel anything. It's just a game after all.
Climb: Yes.. He thought this would be handy for momentary escape or camouflage up in the trees. He is a bit heavy, though so it might take him some time.

Interview 

How do you act during the interview: Hyunwoo tries to appear charming, for the camera and the possible sponsors in the audience as well, but whenever he opens his mouth or smiles his large canines show (add that to his height), he is more or less intimidating. He also avoids his best to not sound uncaring, even if that's how he usually is -that wouldn't do anything to make the sponsors like him. In regards to his answers, Hyunwoo is far from being a humorous person but he tried to be funny, always evading answering the questions that uses knowledge. With questions about his family, he pretends to be okay with his brother and talks about him fondly. He waves to the camera and greets his family, and tells them that he'll win the Hunger Games for his them and that he will make his district proud.

The Day Comes

Do you fight at the Cornucopia or run away:  "I'm taking it. I don't care if someone's goin to bash my head. I'm gonna get a ing mace and hack 'em in." Hyunwoo is a patient type of person but he is not going to wait for a chance to get his weapon, and food at the cornucopia as someone else might get it [his weapon is very specific, you see]. Besides, he's got the other Careers to help him guard and ransack the place.
What is your strategy in the games:  "Get a mace and kill everyone." He plans on getting some sponsors and having them help him -so far it hasn't worked yet. And have you noticed? He tried to dumb down his answers in the interview, not that he was nervous but because he wanted the other tributes to focus on his strength and not his book-smarts. He also doesn't plan on joining the other Career tributes all throughout until all there's left the game is the Careers because he thought it might be more dangerous if one of them [not him] had a trick up their sleep; plus they would just slow him down, and maybe backstab him when he's asleep. After the breaking of the alliance, he's sure to have some ammunition and food in stock, [maybe a sponsor?] he'll camp out and wait for people some to die and then kill everyone.
Preferred Death: Poisoned [rashes], oxygen deprivation [got attacked on the lungs and left to die], or he falls/gets pushed off a cliff.
Allies: "No one. I'm not going to make the mistake of trusting someone." He will make a temporary truce with the other Careers [probably for show] and get away from them some time with the excuse of 'nature's calling' and then attack them when he gets the chance, not that soon though.
Fears: Starvation. In the arena, he gets nightmares of him starving to death. He is also afraid of insects and other things that crawl. Another fear of his is not being able to move, as if in a coma; that state when you can feel pain but you can't move you can't even react.

Please tell me if I need to change his interview pictures! He's wearing black slacks and black leather shoes. I linked three galleries because the other one went down? I don't know if they're coming back up and the good pics were there OTL and I don't know if the other one's going down too
I want to ask if it's okay for him to ditch the Careers since he's the 'muscle' of the group?

Suggestions:
In the Hunger Games there was a time when he forgets to not swear and be calm, he just lashes out and just releases all the pent up frustration from years ago. Amazingly, he gains a sponsor from it. Maybe someone who got amused?
When he dies in the arena, he looks straight at the camera, a broken smile on his face. I'm laughin im too dramatic tbh but if he dies maybe something like 'I'm sorry mom and minwoo i was stupid for not cherishing you im sorry i dont think i can win this anymore but know that i love you' or just him mouthing a 'mianhe' if that wouldnt be too ooc of him or if he even has the time to lol that is why i tried to give him deaths that are very long to take effect except the last one
