using alice in wonderland as reference, song mina considers sehun as the tweedle dumb to her tweedle dee. she never expected someone to understand her so well, to crack through her outer shell and realize the playful and rather naughty girl she can be. they had bonded during their trianee days but had met in a boba shop two blocks down from the sm building. it was a rather hot summer day and the sm building's air conditioner had broken down. desperate for something to cool herself down, mina had ventured off to the café and was sitting on a stool to wait for her order. she was in the middle of a game of tetris when loud voices broke her train of thought. looking up, she saw a rather large female holding up the line. deciding between n number of taro bubble tea or x amount of melon flavored milk tea and if rainbow jelly or coffee jelly tasted better with the mix, the lady was angering the customers behind her, especially a raven ( yes, raven because oh sehun did have black hair once upon a time ) haired young teen. mina watched in amusement as the toothpick sized boy marched up to the woman and told her off but rather than getting a heroic after-effect, he was greeted with a loud screech, slap, and shove to the floor. mina didn't need to know that boy to feel the second hand embarrassment, so she did what a nice girl would do — walked over to him and hualed him up while shoving her drink towards him. without bothering to say anything else, she had floucned away in the direction of a starbucks. a few days later, she met the boy again but in a totally differnt light. it was sm's monthly evaluations and she was dazed at the sight of the same frail boy dancing in perfect rhythm. when he had stepped out of the judges' panels, she intersected him and let the words slip before she could stop them. " heh, looks like there's more to you than bones ". instead of being offended, sehun had saved his comment until after mina delievered her song in which he jokingly made a stab and since then, their relationship was solidified. sharing a similar, strange relationship to a cat and a mouse, you can count on these two to argue with each other until the crack of dawn, but that's what makes the two of them work together. although they rarely say it, the two are quite dear to each other and sehun has zero problem swinging his not-no-skinny arm and beating the crap out of someone if they hurt mina. sehun and her look out for each other and they often talk about each other when the press asks questions concerning the other one of them. like a pair of golden twins, sehun and mina share a tight bond that can never be broken or replaced.

bumping into each other backstage during their promotions that bumped each other, suji and mina's meeting was destined. mina had just been gifted with the glorious title of the new nation's little sister then and suji, being the nation's first love, had used the sunbae card to greet her first. both down-to-earth girl who were deeply flattered by the title, they had gotten along due to these two points, but as time passed and they saw each other more and more frequently at events, they discovered the cracks to their perfect masks and relished the fact that they were both complete dorks off camera. they share the same sense of lame humor and habits of squealing when their favorite male actor came into view on the tv screen that they watched in between recordings for music shows. suji and mina are quite similar in more ways than one can imagine. they both were tired of the image they had to support and they were both forced into a mold that they didn't quite want to be shaped as anymore. humble and sensitive to those around them, they are both emotional and grateful at how their "names" had gotten them so far but it's about time that they both broke out of that shell and became more of who they were inside. despite being at a tender age, they are quite sure of which road they want to take in the future and they both enjoy spending their days off on the couch or bed, being lazy and doing absolutely nothing. suji and mina both enjoy the simple things in life and now that they found each other, they often share the peasant-like hobbies together. if allowed, they would be in mina's dorm with a bowl of unbuttered popcorn in between them and boys before flowers playing in the background. they would gossip and express "jealousy" at who the other got to work with and in the end mina would always playfully ask suji to get her the number of some actor suji was currently working with and suji would ask mina to get her autographs of various sm idols that met suji's eyes. although their wishes weren't real and neither of them expect the other to do it, this simple actions shows the innocence in both of their natures and how they can get a good laugh on just about everything.

after being in the same class for three out of the four years of secondary school, it was inevitable that jinyoung and mina became quite accustomed to each other's presence. they had bonded after working on a group prokect with each other in which mina discovered jinyoung's tendency to nag like an old lady and jinyoung found mina oh-so-adorable and just had to coddle like her family. quite soon, jinyoung seemingly became part of her family and in order to cause the boy to be flustered at his actions, mina dubbed him as her second mother. yep. mother. nope. not father because in all honesty, jinyoung's much too cute and feminine ( shh, don't tell him mina said that ) to be considered a manly guy. don't get her wrong, he's quite capable of wooing a girl but to mina who grew up to him whining like a girl and having mood swings like someone on pms, it's quite hard to see him as the jr of got7 who is bubbly and charming especially as his character in dream high. jinyoung and mina are quite close despite needing to seperate after they were accepted into rival companies and do their best to brush aside the false rumours that involve ill-talking of the opposite company. an irony keeps them from doing so — jinyoung had originally auditioned for sm and mina for jyp but the two ended up in the opposite. no ill will was shared after this incident, and instead, deepended their bond since they would often talk about their experience at the different companies. over the years, jinyoung and mina's face-to-face gatherings have lessened but not their contact. constantly keeping in touch through kakoatalk and other social media, the two old classmates remain good friends and try to arrange to meet up once every month if it was allowed. it's through these monthly meetings that she knows the got7 members and mina always teases her mother that the other members are so much more dashing than he is.

mina was nothing but a trainee when jung soojung was introduced to the world as krystal but it didn't matter since the two befriended each other long before those days. juggling between classes and practice, mina was desperate to find someone to help her with her english course before the big exam. soojung, who just so happened to be in her trainee group, coolly offered to help and after a semester of cramming with the girl, mina passed with flying colors. to celebrate and show her gratitude, mina proposed a shopping trip and the two realized each other's knack for finding cheap yet trendy clothes to wear. since then, they were spotted around the building or in malls, arms linked as they browsed in between shops. it's also common to find them huddled together in the sm cafeteria, trays untouched and their eyes focused on a copy of elle that sat between them. they would critique and admire various outfits on different pages and it's safe to say that they both had fashion checked as a mutual interest. when soojung was pushed out to debut, mina had genuinely been glad for her, but it meant that their time to see each other was being cut and since soojung was new at the entire balance thing, she had cut off all ties with mina. it was when f(x) promotions began to slow that they met up again and reconciled. helping mina with her debut, soojung did her best to make up for the time lost and all was forgiven after agreeing to keep in touch through kakoatalk. since mina's debut, there had been nasty gossip spreading about the two girls. since both were budding stars born in the late ninety fours, most had expected the two of them to be at war with each other to gain favor of the company but in reality, neither of them was jealous of the other. when a headline like that comes out, soojung or mina would shoot the other a text, laughing at the dramatic stories and cheering each other on.

» ( oh sweetheart put that bottle down, you got too much talent ): you probably know him as kai, yes, kai of exo that y motherfu- ( oops, please excuse the language, sehun's influence, yep ) dancer. he's known to be the charismatic and chic charmer in the group, replacing kris after the elder pulled a rather conflicting side in their recent variety show, exo's showtime. known to be a dedicated and hardworking man, he's quite serious when it comes to work and when his mind is set on something, there's no going back. s call this stubborn but the fans call it dedication so we'll put it in those terms, he's a dedicated young soul. although he does speak when asked to, he's a rather quiet man, leaving an air of mystery to him that allures the crowd even more. he does a lot of things that he doesn't notice that of course, makes everyone swoon for him that much harder. it's hard to blame them; he just has that aura that draws everyone to them and even though he can a stupid fool with sehun sometimes, all is forgiven since he is the kai. yeah, there's a reason why even his own member is a fan of him. kai, as the public can see, is a simple man who loves his aegis to death and lights up whenever any animal is near. he's seen pushing himself to the extent of dancing on an injured back during promotions and he has a dorky side, revealed when sehun and him travel to a mart to get chanyeol his birthday present. although less shameless than the maknae and less whiny than the panda member of their group, kai still has an air of youth around him that goes away when he twirls around on stage. fans love him senseless due to his flowerboy looks as well as milk chocolate colored skin and dark brown orbs. he's good looking and he knows it; he works his entire body just to hear the fans shout more. this is kai, kai the suave dancer who expertises in every form of dance ranging from jazz to ballet. this is kai, the rapper whose naturally sultry voice makes any girl squeal. this is kai, a member of exo and a piece of eyecandy to all the neitizens in the world.

» ( don't wanna be my friend anymore, i wanna be somebody else ): but who is kim jongin? we all know him as kai, the amazing and seemingly flawless kai but who is the man underneath. when stripped from his stage name he becomes jongin, the derp who lounges on the couch as kyungsoo tends to him. he may seem mature in front of the cameras, making people question whether he truly stands at the spot as the second maknae but in the dorms and at home there's no mistaking him as one of the youngest. although he isn't as extreme as sehun, it's evident that sehun has taken an influence on him and the two of them are often up to mischeif around the house, hiding things, borrowing things, messing up things. they don't have bad intentions; it's just that they're always bored when they don't have anything to do and what better way to fill up time than to bother their hyungs and fool around. it's then that his younger and more playful side comes in; he is capable of being a child when he feels like it, causing a striking contrast to his public persona and such. he's also much more talkative — well, to specific people at least — and is always full of sunny smiles when he's content with those surrounding him. if he doesn't like you, he makes a point of letting you know; a rather honest and blunt man, jongin won't hesitate to bite you off just because it's respectful to keep certain comments in. he's an emotional and sensitive boy who is straightforward in his opinions, perks of this is that when you need to hear something genuine then he's the man. although firey with words, he's a rather gentle boy who always manages to make you forgive him. the same charisma from stage is reflected in him and it's hard to deny that he is charming and cunning. jongin likes to play the role of a know-it-all as well and if you don't look deep enough, you may see him as that braniac who seems to have a dash of experience in everything but he is innocent at certain areas but he just fills the holes with sand when time comes to it. but sand isn't a safe barrier and if you actually make an attempt to shove it out, you will see that he isn't completely perfect and that his cheeks are always rosy when he is aksed to sing and he has a habit of leaning closer to someone when they approach a rather dark place. he isn't fond of horror films although he it up and jongin would rather break his back than bend when it comes to the fact that he is quite superstitious and still believes in dark spirits and such. he's an expert at hiding himself away from others so they can see the better sides of him, but when you manage to break the guard then you will see that he is just a prideful young boy who is foolish and dorky as well as easily scared and is quite good with words.

» ( i'm dancin' to where you are and you're dancin' to where i am ): oh sehun. that's how it all began. it was one hot july day and sehun was beginning to develop a massive crush on one of the girl rookies on mina's training team. in order to meet mina's friend, sehun initiated what he called a normal group gathering but everyone that wasn't stupid could tell this was a setup; it was a blind group date, if there was such a thing. normally mina would deny such absurd requests to hook up two people that didn't know each other at all but sehun was giving her such an earnest expression that she caved in and agreed to her friend's stupid plans. mistake one. the four had gathered at a coffee shop and mina had introduced the petite brunette beside her to the two boys and sehun had quickly pointed at jongin and introduced the tanned prince. an awkward silence had followed and then was succeeded by slurping of boba drinks. finally, sehun broke the eerie atmosphere with a stupid topic that mina can't quite remember and saena, her friend, had tried to follow but mina knew that the girl was on edge with this entire situation. there's a reason why the girl had earned the name of mute porcelain doll. but sehun had remained optimistic and continued to chase after the poor girl. slyly leaving jongin and mina behind to get one-on-one time with his current female love interest, sehun had not predicted the disastrous outcome that followed. jongin was a tough cookie. he remained glued to his phone the entire time mina and him were window shopping and waiting for sehun to answer their calls. mina hated arrogant people. she instantly dubbed jongin as one of those vain good-looking guys when he replied to her attempts to start a decent conversation with a one word answer. by the end of the day sehun had desperately failed in wooing saena but his other two friends earned something — thye both added a person to their list of people that they disliked. and it remained that way for years. jongin would always find mina annoying with her never ending giggles and chatterbox-like qualities. mina always find jongin conceited since he always checked himself out in the mirror and wouldn't bother answering to anyone that wasn't his friend. when exo had debuted and jongin earned instant fame, mina had snorted. sure he had impressive dance skills but the cold personality of his was still very much detestable and surely one day people would see through his raven locks and perfect almond eyes. when mina had been pushed out to the markets, jongin had snickered. such an innocent and childish girl would be soon be waved to as annoying by the critical neitizens. they were both wrong. since both were rising stars in the past few years it was inevitable for them to be doing the same activities together. during those times they would force out polite greetings and offered a few vague but good comments about each other when someone asked them to describe each other. when the cameras stopped rolling, mina would say goodbye to every exo member before muttering out an annyeong to him. jongin would turn his back on her when she entered exo's dressing room to talk to the other members. they tried to avoid each other like glue.

» ( i knew you were trouble when you walked in, so shame on me now ): nobody knew how it happened but it did. fans were often crazy when they pieced idols together just because they looked good together. myungzy — infinite's l and miss a's suzy was an example of that. they looked good together hence they were " shipped " together. well, the same thing happened to mina and jongin. both being pretty faces in the 94-line for sm, it was only a matter of time before they were linked together. kaina. that's what they were called and fans of both parties adored them. fan-made videos of the two were constant hits on youtube and fancams that shot the two passing by each other was deemed as evidence that the two had some sort of connection going on. jongin laughed at this. mina freaked. but no matter what the reactions were of the two idols, it all came down to the company to decide what it wanted to do with this newfound cannon. in the end sm decided to join the boat and ship them. they were instructed to stand close to each other during sm concerts or joint events, offer a small smile and wave when it could be subtly done. they began to be the new cover faces for sm's homepage and sm even went as far as to pushing jongin to be her male lead in her upcoming album. now they were constantly stuck together doing shoots for the album jackets and videos as well as rehearsing together because, like it or not, he was going to be her dance partner for the majority of her promotions as well. they are constantly promoted together, appearing on the same shows and offered couple endoursements. everyone loved them together, everyone except them. but the more time they spent together — and that was quite often now — the more their true sides of them began to appear. song mina, everyone's darling little baby, wasn't quite the little girl everyone expected her to be. he first noticed it when they were practicing choreo. she had tripped over the tip of his foot, falling and spraining her ankle quite badly. after icing it for a few moments ( he had grudgingly fetched the ice pack for her ) she had pushed his hand away and stood up, wobbling a bit with the height of her heels. she then motioned for him to follow and surprised him when she turned the volume of the soundtrack all the way up. jongin noticed it again when she was egged, yes, egged. although song mina was dearly loved, it was impossible for her to be completely void of antis. the culprit had been waiting outside the sm building for ages; the moment jongin and mina stepped out to go to a recording of "hello counselor" she had jumped out and deposited a carton of eggs to her head, shoulder, and legs. he expected her to bawl, to break and cling to his arms but she had merely swiped her bangs to the side and casted a pointed look at the girl. song mina was far from that crying and wailing girl that jongin expected her to be, she held her head high and was strong. and jongin, jongin was a lot nicer than mina thought. he was actually polite for one. after seeing her yolk-i-fied, he had handed her his sweater without being asked. and he was observant. the day after she was rained for one of the shoots and caught a cold, he had went out to buy her a steaming hot cup of lemon tea from starbucks. he claimed it was an apology for the last time he accidentally stuck his foot out and tripped her. slowly, the two began to notice the better sides of each other and the past hatred slowly melted to admiration and later love. standing in the present, their relationship had changed from being enemies to something more along the lines as good friends...and maybe an admirer. although they still snap at each other from time to time, they do it nicely now and they always make it up by mentioning a free dinner or meal of some sort. nobody can turn down food. and nobody can turn down the affection they have for each other.

» white chocolate: he may have the skin color of milk chocolate but he prefers the sweetest kind instead. it's a bit of a feminine flavor so he does best to pretend that milk / dark chocolate is his favorite.

» tea: although he drinks coffee more regularly due to the fact that it is stronger, he's quite traditional and prefers a cup of traditional jasmine over a latte.

» high tops: it doesn't necessarily have to be the all star, converse kinds but when he buys sneakers, he makes sure that they pull up to his ankles.

» ballads: although people pin him as the hip hop type, he loves a good ballad over anything. he secretly wishes he was a vocalist so he could sing in these pieces.

» dogs: if it isn't obvious by now then you're quite blind and need a pair of new glasses. dogs are his favorite animals and they're his weak spot.

» trolling: he's sehun's apprentice in this field but even so, he can do quite a good job of tripping you up. it is literally this case as well.

» homemade bento boxes: he's one of those guys who loves a girl who can cook. needless to say, when mina brought in homemade rice balls he ate his entire share in a blink of an eye.

» sensitivity: he's quite an emotional boy if you know him well enough. loving and easily teary-eyed, he is truly one of the sweetest guys around.

» darkness: it's not something he'll admit but he hates being left alone in a dark place and though he can conceal his fear well enough, if you look him in the eye you will see the twinkle of helplessness.

» otp: he doesn't ship. or well, he shouldn't ship. what was the point of it? but somwhere along the line he joined the boat and is currently sailing kaina. just don't tell anyone.

» mirrors: it's not something he notices but he has a tendency to check himself out in the mirror quite often. he can't stand his hair being out of place and cares more about it than his actual face.

» fatigue: that's a word that doesn't belong in his dictionary. he's a notorious worker and is known for overworking himself to the point he collapses in the practice room.

» loyalty: once his friend always his friend. he's a true man that will protect the one he loves. eh, that's kinda corny, oops.
