☆ Jiyeon is probably the friendliest of the friendliest. She is practically friends with everyone, even the timid trainees. She doesn't like people getting left out so she tries her best to get to know everyone as if she wants to get the 'Friendliest Award'. Funny. Her sarcastic, yet funny remarks can make a lot of people cry laughing. Of course, her friendly personality is expected to be sewed with very nice and giving trait. She is the kind who will give you the last piece of her peanut butter and jelly sandwich or Oreo cookies if you are hungry. Unless you're talking about her precious rice cakes, then it's a whole lot different story. She is bubbly, too, and hyper. She will be bouncing up and down every minute if she can.
☆ Every person is not a saint so every personality has it's buts, right? Jiyeon can be bossy. How? She likes telling people what to do, ordering them around when she gets bored which happens almost everyday. Annoying. She is the annoyingly nice person that everybody loves and hates at the same time. She will be on your face when you didn't get right the task so told you to do. She won't stop until you make it all over again to make it right. Yes, she's a perfectionist. Her mood swings are weird that is why some people calls her chiyeon or michin (crazy) Jiyeon.
☆ Jiyeon came from an average and happy family. She has a loving parents, good advice-giver unnie and cool oppa that she wouldn't dare exchanging of anything in this world. Jiyeon was branded as M16 because of her very good rapping skills that made her won in a few rapping contest she joined back in her middle school days. Jiyeon convinced her parents to let her have drum lessons instead of ballet and guitar when she was 7. Just like in rapping, she won two awards for her drumming skills - it's rare for a girl to have such good skills where usually boys excel. She gathered a lot of fanboys because of it, thinking that she is very cool and Jiyeon is their ideal girl. At her tender age of 8, her 12 year old brother left home and started training in one of the biggest entertainment company in Korea. At the age of 17, nine years after she started convincing her family to let her audition, finally agreed. Her brother is really famous at that time, but she auditioned in Jellyfish Entertainment instead of the company where her brother is.
☆ Jiyeon promised to herself that she will not live under the shadows of her brother and show people what she can do. Jiyeon's trainee life is a huge struggle for her. She lives with three other girls in a dorm their company provided for the trainees, school works are piling up on the corner and she misses her family terribly. She can barely visit them because of her tight schedule so her brother visits her as much as he can, being an idol himself is hard, too. She debuted as an extra first in the tv drama He's Beautiful as A.N.Jell's fan club president Bae Geu Rin and she was a cameo in Iris, too. She didn't let her brother announce to the public her name because of obvious reasons, they will like her as the cute little sister of their idol, not who she wants to be in the showbiz industry.
