Personality :

First Impression; She is the group's precious, innocent lady. The definition of a prim lady. She is more or less best known for her manners, intelligence, maturity and conservative nature. She gives others an impression of being frail-looking because of her gentle appearance. But, in fact, she is strong minded and have strong will. It is also easy for people to get the impression that she will never do harm to other people. It is true that she seldom use harsh words or say anything rude. She can hides her real features by her decent appearance when she faces opponents, and then hurt them. By the time one discovers this, she will have tricked you.

What is yes and what is no; She is very hospitable, good hosts and warm-hearted companion. Her words make everyone feel happy, but you shouldn't let such words go to your head. She will remember your mistakes, as well as your good points. She knows more than she will tell. If your missteps are not serious, she will forgive you. That is why people like her. This philosophy of life keeps her free from troubles, because people will forgive her as she forgives others. To those she loves, she is gentle and kind, while to some other people she may be perfunctory and halfhearted, even cool and merciless. She will do things she likes energetically, but when she feels tired, she will put aside the work at hand and go quietly away.

Generally speaking; since she is refined and cultivated and self indulgent at the same time, she enjoys her life, and think her own desires as the most important. She stubbornly believe that-it is easy for people to get along with each other. She is always polite and civil to people. She is disgusted by quarreling and any hostile act. Sometimes she does things slowly and deliberately. She handles everything in a circumspect way. This is because of her cautious character. She makes certain that she get lots of information before she will say yes. So she has the ability to evaluate well, and is capable of making clear-headed appraisals of the situation. And she is very proud of this. It seems that she will turn a deaf ear to other people's advice. In fact, she may be unable to recover after other people criticize her.

Generally speaking; she will be someone you can get along well. She will be good company with whom to go shopping or to talk. She is smart and warm-hearted. Staying with her will be a happy experience. If she is able to choose her own way of living, she will choose the most comfortable life she can. There is no need to worry about the lives of her. Onstage; She is cute, to put it lightly. Widely known for being a robot, her manners, respect and responsibility are well known throughout the fandom. She is as robot as can be, though not necessarily for a lack of emotions. Rather, we see her robot persona as being the result of her personality being extremely vanilla and mature. Some may find her mature lady image cute, others may find it a bit bland and boring. This girl though is sweet as can be, even if she is a bit closed minded sometimes.

Background :

What people know; She, as is well known by others, was abandoned by her mother at a young age, brought up solely by her father, and growing up did not fit in with males except with her father.
 

Family; Her mother left the family when she was 5, following her secret lover. Born in Seoul, she never has known the joy of having a mother in her life, since she was still an infant when her mother left. Her father grieved deeply for this loss but managed to raise his only daughter well. Having a great relationship with her built on love and trust, she didn’t miss anything  that a child needs to have in their development. They weren’t that rich, but not exactly poor either and they always could manage to get enough food for the both of them to keep them satisfied and healthy. She never has had a lot of luxury in her life, but she is the type of person to want such luxury, she just know how to hide it.

Grown up; She had (still has) a small companion, a small golden retriever named Joojoo. She played piano since childhood and she wanted to be an idol when she was in a school music club. She attended Seoul Middle School and Daeyoung High School. In her school life, she is always a promotional student for her teachers. She is selected as one of the top students in her school. She want to apply music stream in high school but her conservative father was hoping for her to get a normal job so thats how she unwillingly enrolled Science in Daeyoung High School.

Trainee life:

Always dreams of becoming a singer since she was a kid. In high school, she practice singing alone at night and went to auditions; failed her auditions many times but she didn’t give up. One day, Hayoung told Yeonju about the company audition for their girl group. She auditioned and joined the company under the company casting system. She sang Wax- Please for her audition. Her father opposed her dream to become a singer but then gave her the permission since she’s most likely to inherit from her mom who was majored in piano. Eventhough, her mother left them, her father still have slight feeling over her. Yeonju signed in the company because of Hayoung in 2007,

Bottom line is Yeonju has a nice voice. The obvious best in the group, and maybe at the company too. The girl has talent, and a voice smooth as butter to back it up. Her technique is good, her breathing, yeah it does fall short occasionally during the group's lives but is strong nonetheless, and she’s proved her versatility and harmony multiple times. Really, let her voice do the talking and enjoy her talent.
