I have since watching C-Clown's new MV Justice and seeing the comments from others who liked their old style, as well as watched BToB's #2 teaser, gained inspiration to write a small essay on kpop.

Kpop, for me, is weird. It's weird, and it's different, and unexpected, and cute, and gorgeous and crazy and funny and beautiful and nothing that you would think of. It's tear-jerking and it's hilarious, it's amazing, and it, as a whole, is completely unique.
That's why I love kpop. And sure, there are some bumps in the road. There's scandals, disbandments, everything. But kpop is kpop.

So why do I feel like kpop is changing, trying to suddenly be like American music? With songs that have almost as much English as Korean, with every girl group coming out with y concepts lately (except Spica <3). Like Wa$$up. Twerking is really not the way to go, seriously. Why do you think I stayed on Mblaq's Stay (lol I'm so punny) that day? So I could just have American music, which the actual quality of is currently crumbling down, in a different language so I could wait a little before finding out the lyrics that I would rather not really know? So I could see a dance to go along with it?

I love kpop. Please don't change for these international fans, because if they like you in the first place, they wouldn't want you to become more American.
Okay? Please don't change.

Another point: Why do fans get mad when a group changed their style? Like, one person on Justice literally announced that they shall not support C-Clown anymore, they will not buy the song, they will not watch proformances, and they are certainly not going to waste money on the entire album.
It's okay to change styles. Okay? Groups are allowed to experiment, go out of their comfort zone, try something completely new. Why not?
Wouldn't it get kind of... just, expected, if they stayed the same, every time they came back? What would be the point of that?
I liked the style of C-Clown before a bit more, but that doesn't mean I hate their new song, it'll definitely grow on me.
Just embrace it. Embrace this weirdness that is kpop, and idols, embrace yourselves as kpop, because that's why we love you.

~End of Essay.

P.S: WHY ARE SO MANY GROUPS COMING OUT NOW I CAN'T KEEP UP WITH ALL YOU PEOPLES
P.S.S: Why don't people like Justice? Just because its completely hip-hop and totally different doesn't mean that our kings aren't BACK, and look FREAKING AMAZING, and that doesn't mean T.K's rap isn't AWESOME, and his hair is SO HILARIOUS AT FOR THE COMEBACK PROFORMANCE I CAN'T EVEN

And for them to have great singers and rappers, this release just fell flat to me. This song was not a Kangjun song and it pains me to know that he had to sing this song. Especially when he has such a unique color and tone to his voice that should be showcased instead of what seemed to be drowned out by noise. Same goes to Ray, who might not be on my favorite voices list for kpop, I still felt that his voice was lost in this.

This song doesn't bring them justice and it definitely does not showcase how talented this group is, and to me, that's what makes me so angry about this release. I know C-Clown is better than this, I know they have talent, and I'm sure they'll give decent lives, but this song just does not showcase them how they should be showcased and that's what and makes this whole release a catastrophre.

It also looked like only 2-3 members were feeling the song while the rest tried to feel the song and got lost in the feeling and just didn't know what to emote.

C-Clown isn't a group that's trying to have that hip-hop swag that you see in groups like Topp Dogg or BTS, both of which fit that genre and do it amazingly well. And for them to do this style, something that no one really expected to see is odd and makes me wonder what the company was doing when they had this group do this. C-Clown isn't bringing anything new to the table with this concept and they're not doing it excessively well either, as this song is actually kind of mediocre compared to their previous releases, including their debut song that seemed to flop.

If C-Clown brought it, the coordi-noonas were better with styling, and they didn't reuse props (especially since they make you think back to their better and more interesting songs), this could have been better. But all of that happened and it was not good to see this group try so hard to make this concept work and only for 1-2 members to make it seem like it worked while everyone else was just clueless on what to do. I'm not saying it's the worst release any group has done, but for a group that seemed to have it all and was finding their niche, they just lost it with this release.

Well the thing with C-Clown was that they went a total 180 and used a song that only seems to fit 2-3 of their members. And it doesn't help that it's a song that would fit a group like Topp Dogg or Alphabet or even Got7 instead. (In fact the guy that wrote the song usually works with Topp Dogg, hence the similarities.)

And groups can change their style, but to go from such a distinct style of music that they had to 'Justice' which doesn't even sound like something the group would do is just odd. They had something going on that was working and despite how catchy the song can be, it feels like a definite downgrade to what they were building up. They had all this momentum and now it's like they've lost.

I'm not saying the song is bad or terrible, it just seems to fit other groups better than C-Clown. Especially when the styling isn't something that works for all of them. C-Clown has a group of good looking boys, and that whole styling was a mess for most of them. So to see everything coming together with previous releases, constantly finding looks that fit all of them, and then to give us 'Justice' that only fits a couple of the members isn't that good. Seriously, I'm not saying their ugly or anything like that, because they aren't, but that whole styling wasn't doing any of them justice. I know those boys can look good and they did not look good there. They seem to be trying something that every other group has tried before, but not even bringing anything new to the table.
