To some extent, Darren is a chic and dandy city guy. he is almost seen in edgy printed t-shirts, ripped washed jeans, bright colored tees, suit sets, short sleeves shirt, tailored pants, and edgy choices of shoes. he grows his hair long down to his shoulder. sometimes he let his hair covered his eyes or somehow tied it in half ponytails. he is a style which not many guys are mostly into. mysterious and cute at the same time. oppa, Darren style~

Personality:

Darren, the mischievous- They said, Darren is the AB Style in the family. if there is 4dimentional guy, darren is the 8dimentional. he is very unpredictable. sometimes, he would be the mood maker, some other minute, he'd turn really thoughtful and mature, and the other minutes, he'd be really observant and quiet. no one could predict what he would do. he has issues with his unpredictable mood-swings. sometimes, Darren would be the one who over-exaggerates his mood-swings. it's not a new thing he'd change his moods 4-5 times in a day. he could be all hyper and happy this morning, quiet and mellow in the afternoon, and really emotional and blunt in the evening. it's just how darren do. he is also a very playful person. he'd pull pranks and make fun of everyone when he found there is a silent gap between them.
"It is easy with me, chill, you don't have to be so tensed. Just don't mess up on the routine or i'll not be chilled"- Everyone knows him as the easy-going kid. sometimes, he would tolerate on such things and never want to overthink simple mistakes. but no matter how chilled and easy-going he is, during practice, he would be that tensed and serious person. if anyone dared to mess on the routines, he would blast up and burnt up. he won't mind to say harsh things in order to get everyone's mind into the practice.
"I am Jaycen, The Dynamic Charisma dancer,"- Dynamic Charisma stands for his dynamic magnets to the audience on stage. when he sings a happy song, everyone would feel happy, it's not rare that you would cry when he sings a sad ballad song, when he dance, you would likely feeling your body moving like what you saw him doing on the stage. he is often said as the 'hocus pocus' of the team with the ability to mesmerize people into his circumstances. in charge of dancing and choreography, Jaycen would perform a powerful dance moves and stable powerful vocal skills which would make people see that he's not chosen on stage for his looks but for his talents. don't expect him to do bunch of aegyo when the camera and lights are on or on the stage. he can't do such things too much on stage. it's just not for him to do it. not that he wanted to maintain that bad-boy sort of look. but he wants people to see that he's someone with dynamic charisma and a person with swag on stage.
"Noona deul, saranghae~ bbuing~"- off the stage and the cams, he is a guy with a lot of greasy fan services. he would do a lot of aegyo and cute stunts to impress the noona fans. and it always works for him. at the dorm, he would be the spoiled younger ones to the hyung. it's just how he did. Darren the spoilty messy guy. you can see how messy and clumsy he is whenever it comes to his room tidiness. whenever the room inspection day comes, his room would be classified as extremely messy. piles of books at the corner of the table, piles of exam and worksheets on the other sides, unused red envelopes from the lunar new year, and sometimes dirty laundries scattered around the room.

Background :

Mr Kwak opposed the twins from pursuing their dream to be a musician and to work in the entertainment industry. Mrs. Browning on the other hand, thinks the twins would receive a lot of attentions. not because of their different personalities nor their looks. but she sees the materials within the twins. she also knew that Aaron, her eldest son, has the same dream but he is never to pursue his dream just to fulfill his father's desire. so, she decided to let the twins pursuing their dream. not just because both of them has that pretty looks. but the boys also has what it takes to be a passionate entertainer.
If you asked about Aaron, he is studying Machinery at S National University and will be graduating next year. besides that, he also helps his parents to work as a barista. little that his father knows, he was an underground hip-hop rapping artist. he had produced his own mixtapes with some of his friends behind his father's back. and little that his father knows, he also supports his brothers to pursue their dreams. he even covered for the twins when they were at the quarantine centre for Super Star K 5.

How was it?:

It was a great experience. although he found himself and his twin brother facing some hard times due to the tight schedules and all, he still enjoys his time training at the company. sometimes, they had difficulties communicating with the overseas trainees. but what makes everything easier is music and dance. whenever they can't express their feelings through words or sentences, everyone would easily know their worries through the twins' singing or dancing. so far, training in YG has a lot of benefits for both Darren and his twin brother.

How did you get in?:

They were scouted through a Superstar K5. both Darren and his twin brother got eliminated after the big 5 but then YG scouted their talents and trained them for quite some years before they finally debuted.

Relationship with other YG Artists:

To Minzy, he's the dancing partner during practices
to Jennie kim, he is like a friend who listens and makes her mood.
to Taeyang and GD, he is the greatest mentee they've ever trained.
To jinu sean Darren is like his son, he always treated him like his teenage son.

1) There are so many people out there in the world. Who do you think influenced who you are the most? Who do you look up to the most?

- for me, i would say my older brother influenced me the most. Aaron has opened my eyes that music could be the means to express our feeling. more important than that, he taught me to do music to express how i am, not to impress other people, that's how we make people see what's in us not how to make people amused with our showmanship. and that's how i do in every single performances during Superstar K5

2) Do you have any special talents? Do you have any talents that others would fine weird?

- Special talents? hmm. let me think, i guess this one is not a special to most of the people but i will consider it special. i can play guitar, while singing and beatboxing in one song. too bad i can't rap like Aaron. it's just singing, beatboxing, and playing guitar during one song at once.

3) Do you have an ideal type? If so, who is it? If not, can you describe them?

- well, my ideal type is someone who is charismatic, but cute at the same time. she doesn't have to be tall, but she has to be pretty inside out. she has to love the family and me, she has to be a sociable girl (but not a flirty one). i like girls with lots of aegyo and husky voice. uhm... if i may say, someone like GP Basic's Janey.

4) What is the most vivid memory you have about your family or your friends?

- Living in Seoul with just Aaron, Me, and Darryl. three of us. Mum and Dad are still staying in the states at the moment while the three of us were staying in Seoul. now that Aaron couldn't come home really often, that leaves me and my twin, Darryl. To me, the most memorable thing i've ever remembered was our audition in Super Star K. it was a really long and hard Audition. and when the big 20 finalists list were up and i found Darryl and Me in it, my knees was like jellies. the quarantine in Suseuta K is awesome, i gotta learn many things. and i gotta meet that roy kim, the winner and one of my bestest buddies.

5) If you could have a world tour, which country would you like to visit the most?

- Auckland, New Zealand
