Personality: Micol is a mature, motherly kind of person, but she isn't at all a conservative person. She also doesn't talk as much as a lot of other girls but her personality shows through her actions, therefore she isn't the type that can hide what she thinks or feels -- It shows obviously on her face, giving all of her emotions away.
Micol is a very mature girl, she knows how to best solve a conflict or argument since she doesn't take sides and tries her best to come up with a solution that suits everyone's interests.
She is also very caring and motherly, but she tends to come off as clingy. She cooks for her loved ones, often buys them gifts, pays for their food, tends to them when their sick, etc. She is also supportive just like a mother, willing to accept anything as long as it makes that person happy and they know what their getting into. However, being caring also means worrying about her loved ones. For example, if someone stays out later than usual she is the first one to notice and begin worrying, calling non-stop til they answer. However, it is because of her worrying that she is very attentive and notices little things like a shift in mood, personality, style, etc. -- The usefulness of this trait changes with the situation.

Background/Childhood:
Micol was born on Oct. 17th 1995 in Arizona, USA.
Micol lived normally as your typical kid until her mother died giving birth to their youngest, Courtney. After that day her life changed drastically. Their family moved to Korea and Micol became the woman of the house. Therefore, Micol always had a kind of weight on her shoulders in order to be a mother figure to her siblings and teach them right from wrong while keeping up with her studies and their father worked day and night in order to support all of them. (She is the eldest, then her little brother Micheal (15 now), Levi (12 Now), and Courtney (10 now).)
Music runs in the family. Ever since Micol was young she was a great dancer, just like how her brothers are musical genius' and her sister has a great voice. Because of their talents the Yu sisters were easily accepted into SM by audition (Courtney was 5 and Micol was 15 when they auditioned).(The boys on the chose to try and make it as a ban, their band always making it into the finals every time, but being beat out by another band.) However, nearly two months into being an SM trainee Micol left due to contract issues with the company, transferring to JYP where she met Mark. It was nearly a year into her JYP training that she was offered to transfer companies again. Mark wasn't all that happy about it, but decided that if that was what she wanted he wouldn't deny her it.
And so began her life as a VH Entertainment trainee.
