A little rant at 2am...

I don't know your guys views on this (feel free to comment!) but I wanna rant about the 'subscribers-only' option on the site.

I know, it was put on a long time ago, but it's a ridiculous option.

I mean, I don't know about you, but if i see a story with that option i completely ignore it.

To me, those authors are only trying to rig in subscribers.

Of course, that's what this site really comes down to these days huh? Subscribers and Upvotes. It's sad really.

I just don't like those authors that have all those subsribers just because of that silly option. If the reader wants to subscribe, they should be able to when they feel that the story deserves it, not just because they were forced to if they wanted to read a single chapter.

*Sigh*

Another thing. It's hard to find a good story on this site anymore :/ I'm not insulting anyone, but I rarely find ones where the author has put in a lot of effort. Mostly it's just pointless . *Sigh*

I feel you. I would never put that option on my stories because that's not why I write. I write for enjoyment and I post my writing in hopes that other people will get that same enjoyment. I get unbelievably happy at each new subscriber because it means that they actually care about my work. If my story was subscribers-only then it just wouldn't be the same because that's forcing subscribers. And it makes me sad when people don't put a lot of effort into their stories because I put so much of my heart and soul into mine...

Well, I use that option but I have a good reason for it...
I write stories and my parents know that I write on this site. (But they don't know what)
It's not that difficult for them to figure my name out...
So, the subscribers only option is for me something that makes it more difficult for my friends and family to read it. Because I know they won't make an account on this sit, but keep begging me to read my stories. They don't even know that I write boyxboy!

So it may annoy you, but I would be too scared if I didn't...

When I see that tag I feel like the authors just want subscribers...

However, some people may have different opinion. I’m not disagree nor agree with you here. One of my AFF friend said that they just put the option as a precaution. They’re scared that their story might be stolen. But mostly I know they don’t have the same reason with my friend. Yea.. nowadays it’s hard to find good story here..
