Background : Jia Li grew up to a wealthy family. Her father is a famous fencer and coach in Hong Kong. She grew up liking the thought of being seen on tv, singing, dancing and acting. She was sent to Los Angeles, California to her grandparents when she was 12 because her father is against on the thought of her auditioning to be an idol in Korea. She stayed in the States for 2 years until she finally convinced her father to let her audition. But in one condition. If they rejected her, she would go back home and continue fencing with her brother but if she got in, he will buy her an apartment and live with her mother for a while until she's old enough to live by herself. Luckily, she got in and her father granted his promise to her. She visits her family in Hong Kong occasionally. Two years later, her brother quit fencing and went to Korea, too, after realizing he also has a passion for rapping and dancing.

Personality :
Jia Li is a really bubbly, nice, and down to earth type of person but she can be as emotionless as a statue when she's deep in though or just simply bored. She always gives her ultimately best just to achieve her goal as a good idol. She's serious when it comes to practicing especially in performing because she doesn’t want her hard works go down the drain. She is a girl who has a millions of dreams to achieve and will do everything to acquire these dreams of her. She would always take risk every chance she has to obtain what she wants. She is not that brave but will conquer it for her love to her family and friends. She likes to comfort people especially those who are so close to her hearts. She sensitive when her love ones are hurt. She loves bringing happiness to them since they're the one who bring joy to her.
Aside from that, Jia Li's not aware of her own behavior and doesn't want to recognize that she is being arrogant and stubborn. She often ignores or doesn't listen to good ideas from others, as she cannot accept that others might have more better ideas than her that is why it is also difficult to argue with her. She is so over confident and not willing to hear others' opinions. She's always straight to the point, she doesn't like sugar coating her words to make it clear to the people asking for her opinion. If she thinks that it's stupid, then she will tell you that frankly. She's a girl who proudly shouts out the truth. If she found something bad or good, she don't hesitate to tell it. She's a very passionate girl who is full of confidence and never run out of ideas. She'll always bring out the best in her to achieve what she wants. He blurts out lame jokes that are really out of this world and won't stop annoying you until you 'laugh' at that stupid joke.
How you met : As fellow trainees with the same nationality, Jia Li tried talking to Mark in Chinese but his answers are short and he speaks slowly. Later on, she found out that he can't speak Chinese very well because he was born in California and lived there for all his life until he became a trainee in Korea. Jia Li was also got victimized of Mark and Jackson's pranks and blamed it on her.
How you act around each other : It became a hobby for the two of them to trash talk each other using their daily banter and playful insults that makes them laugh hysterically after. They don't get mad and receive each playful insult they get. They are like the most abnormal people in this planet who couldn't stand a decent conversation. Even Jackson gets weirded out on how the two interact.

How did you get in the agency? : By auditioning.
How were your trainee days : It was hard. She left her country at the age of 14 to go to another foreign country where she don't know a single soul. The training is hard. Probably a thousand times harder than solving one math problem. She need to go to an international school, trainee after class and go home at 12 or 1 in the morning. Her schedule was packed, making her drop out of an actual school and try home schooling. A teacher goes to her house on her vacant time and teach her the topics they tackled in school. She gets tons of assignments that she always do on her break time in training. Even though it was hard, she can't just back down and return back home. She work even harder and now that she's debuting, she feels relieved and nervous at the same time. Her hard work has finally paid off and she will now starting a new life with 6 or 8 sisters.
