Not sure if all of you know this but when you start working, your perspective of life changes entirely. Back in school, I dislike teacher's pet a lot but now I've come to realise the importance of being liked by your superior. When you start working, even though like for example you turn up late for work and you have a legit reason to get scolded you don't. Why? Cause you're liked by your superior. It seems unfair but that's how you survive in your working life. I'm only 17, yet I just realise this importance cause apparently I was like an hour or more late today for work, And like I've mentioned I work for givenchy. I had to work full 12hours today but I turned up when the store was already open when by right, I should've been here before the stoer even opened. However, a seriously heavy traffic jam occurred like before the highway which led to me arriving work an hour or more late. I panicked and immediately sent a message to my supervisor, "I'm really sorry. I know I'm suppose to open the counter but there's a horrible traffic jam by the highway and I will definitely be late for work." Hours later, my supervisor text me back saying that "You're not always late." Thats when I was like, "holy ? is that for real? No like what is this Airam?! How can you be so unprofessional?!" In which usually bosses would go like that but no, she was just calm and reminded me that I'm not always late. Which seemed like because you're always early/on time I'll let this issue pass but don't let this happen again. If you guys didn't know, I'm well liked by my supervisor because I'm always willing to help her out by covering for the full timers at a certain branch despite my exhaustion. Plus, I get extra money from doing them anyways. So yea, these are some of the benefits I get from bootlicking my way through. ^^
