Rant: Computer Issues

I just spent 24 hours straight, trying to fix my dam computer... I was uploading a trailer I had just finished to youtube when all of a sudden my computer crashes!!!!! And guess what... Everything is gone. I mean Everything!!!! I couldn't find my hw, another project I was working on, all my edits, and personal photos all gone. I even lost all the chapters I had saved up from stories I was going to put up on aff. After a good 8 hours of being on the phone with my super smart cousin we were able to get half of my files back, but the rest are gone :'( So I spent the 16 hours awake, trying to redo everything I lost... (my hw and that trailer and the project I was working on) ... Im just tired and pissed off... I need a new computer... Any techy ppl out there who could recommend a good laptop

OMG!!! I feel u..but's it's never been that bad for me..I mean lost a 2 research papers for Med 1 and Med 2, 1 for marine bio, and I've lost other photos and videos, and other insignificant stuff. Thanx to my techy dad( he's a manager at Fedex, software and engineering, in the main frame), a recovery disk is always kept. That's the first step I've learned, ALWAYS make a back up for your files. Your laptop should have something called Recovery(:D), in "Computer". But it all depends on what country. In america, that's how it's setup. I'm unsure in foreign countries. Maybe if you tell me where u live, I could help? Tell me your current model to. I'll try to look for something more durable. Btw, does it matter how much money you spend? Or do you like good deals? Also how much are you willing to pay, and yeah where do you live.
