Which one?? - About write a story

Which one you like to do..

Write the story because you want to write about it, you decide the plot as you like, despite most of ur readers don’t really like it.. But  you write it because you want..

Or..

Write the story because your readers want… you see the readers interest and need, then you write because you know the readers will like it.. Although it will make your story not too 'original'. You already had the plot inside your mind but because you think the readers wont like it..so..yeah..you change it bit..

So..?

Kkkk, I'm sorry… but I'd like to know.. Because sometimes I confuse with myself when I want to write my (poor written) fic, kkk.

I prefer the first one. Well, maybe there are some people who don't like your story but it will be better if you're being yourself. I think your feeling will be felt by the readers too.
Good luck, author-nim :)

I write to myself.

I think I stand on the first category, I write whatever I want, hahahahaha...
Instead of writing something 'by order', all I ever keep (and care) is my characters. I try to make Eric and Hyesung (since I only write Ricsyung) be as close and as similar as the real ones.
I am a moody person, and my mood changes drastically almost every time. kekeke.. and somehow it helps me in writing. one time I can be very bubbly I write fluffy stories, other times I can be sad without any reason so I write something depressing. But honestly, I don't do it for my readers request. Sometimes, when I chat with my friends here, they'll give me inspiration. But they always leave the plot for me. Even my closest friends here don't know the scene or the plot or the ending, until I post it here. I also hate something cliche, so I try my hardest to make every possible twists on my stories (not all succeeded though :p, but at least I tried..)
Of course there's a time when I envy any writers that got a lot of subs with cliche plot (ones that you can predict the next scene without waiting for the next update), but then again, I'm here not to gain subs or karma, the first reason I'm here is Ricsyung.. and the second reason is my loyal readers.. ^^ I am a thoughtful person, so every time I see any unsubscribing, it disturbs me (ups), but not anymore.. I can't please everyone, that's what I learn and I accept the fact..
So I suggest you to write everything you want.. many hours we spent at night to produce a complete fic will taste sweeter when you do it freely for yourself, not to please anyone else. Really, your goal is not to write the greatest article, or poem for how to guide, or epic novel ever created. Your goal is satisfy yourself..
Fighting!! ^^

I think u already know my answer if u look at my stories.. OTL
For me, I write because I love to write :) to express what's on my mind, and usually, I write with my own pace (yes, I'm a phail author.. OTL)
There was time when I tried to write in order to satisfy the reader.. I wanted to get a good response, so I wrote with the cliche well-liked plot... But in the end, I changed back to the old me, who write whatever I want... The response may not be as good, but the satisfaction is different :) Basically, that made me love all my stories, because that was what I really wanted to write..
And somehow, it feels like, filtering the reader? And what makes me happy, I still got readers even in my oddest story :D So I got double bonus, a satisfaction and supportive readers :)
The negative side, you can't be mainstream... I have a reader who used to like my old story, but now she never read mine again because, yeah, hahaha OTL... Can't blame her tho, because everyone has their own preference...

Okay, enough with my blabbering.. Now, back to the basic, what's your real motive in writing? If you want to satisfy yourself, go with the first option. If you want subs, comments, and acknowledgement (yessss, those are so tempting!!!), go with the second one...

Fighting!!!!!!

Hmmmmm....poor ayim.. *pukpuk ayim*

Tbvh, as a selfish-reader, I really want to suggest you to follow what the reader needs. Means, you write based on what the readers want and ruin your original plot.
But, as your friend (and the true side of me), I suggest you to follow your original plot. Never mind with the views, subbies, or votes you'll get. Take that as a bonus, so you can write easily with your own plot.

Fighting ayim!! ^^9
