There was a quote I saw on the internet that changed my perspective of life: “Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So, love the people who treat you right and forget about the ones who don’t. And believe that everything happens for a reason… if you get a chance— take it; if it changes your life— let it. Nobody said that it would be easy… They just promised it would be worth it.” I believe people should love themselves and live happily, with a minimum of sadness because “you only live once”. That one life should not be wasted by wallowing yourself in a world of sadness and depression, it would only be wrong to do so to yourself at the end of the day. We should tell yourself that there is nothing in this world that you cannot handle, and remind yourself that you are never alone because every person around you are also struggling with something just as hard as what you are going through. There’s an infamous saying: Life is imperfect; You will never get what you want because life is difficult, disappointing, and stressful, but in the short period of your lifetime, something that isn’t treasured enough, the people that should’ve left, left, the people that should’ve stayed, stayed, and what is meant to happen, happened. Everything happens for a reason, whether it’s positive or negative and whether you want it to happen or not, but at the end, it’s all for the best. I believe that everyone should expect less from their surrounds and by expecting less, there will be less disappointment. I like to tell myself that there is no such thing as perfect because if the world was perfect and everyone was perfect in every way, life would be too boring and dull. It is the flaws that make you the person you are, it is the flaws that make you unique,  it is the flaws that make you different, it is the flaws that others love about you, and it is the flaws that make you, you. There is no way to dodge the obstacles in life, however, through each hardship you will grow. And throughout life, there are many reasons to be happy and many reasons to love yourself.
