Many people don't know this since I'm usually spazzing over EXO and other boybands but I'm a huge fan of AOA. They're my favorite kpop girl group and I've loved them since their debut with Elvis. I love their band/dance concept but lately they've been divided into AOA Black and AOA White for their MVs instead of having everyone in one MV (just look at Moya, Confused, and Miniskirt.

Although I find Miniskirt more catchy than Confused, the MV left me with a sour taste. I hate to say this but they went from y in Confused to ehhhh in Miniskirt (I originally wanted to use the word ty but that's degrading and I don't think any female idol should be labeled as ty when they clearly aren't). What I'm trying to say is that the MV made me very very uncomfortable. All those shots and upclose leg/crotch shots are just way over the top. I know they are trying to appeal to their male fanbase but it might scare away their female fanbase. Yuna looked damn hot in the MV though; I literally cannot take my eyes off her. Choa is my bias but her hair is atrocious in this MV. I hated Choa's haircut! WTF, that short bob does not work on her! Give me back long-haired Choa!!!

y sells, that's not a secret. I like the y concept to a degree, but when everyone starts selling y at the same time, it's just too much. Music wise, Miniskirt is better than Girl's Day's Something and Dal Shabet's B.B.B (no bias there, I really like Miniskirt as a song). I don't want AOA to lose their concept. The band concept is what differentiates them from other girl groups. I hope in their next comeback AOA Black will return. I want all 8 girls to be in 1 MV (like in Elvis and Get Out)...is that too much to ask for?

AOA's situation reminds me of EXO's situation. Both groups have 2 subgroups (EXO-K and EXO-M have different members but AOA Black and AOA White have overlapping members) and for some reason the company favors one type of promotion over the other. SM got lazy (or whatever) and stopped promoting in China. FNC threw AOA Black in the backburner and promotes the dance team instead. This is frustrating. Stop doing that!

Popularity-wise, AOA isn't doing too well. They have a lot of pressure to succeed since their sunbaes are FT Island and CN Blue. I really hope they do well.
