History:

Taemi’s dad was transferred from Korea to Japan before she was born because of his job. Her dad is Korean but lived in Kyoto, where he met her mother and fell in love. They lived in Japan until Taemi was 8 years old. She learned both Japanese and Korean while growing up and can speak both fluently. Her mother owns a small café where Taemi works part-time. She sometimes accidentally switches back and forth between speaking Japanese and Korean mid-sentence when she’s excited.

Taemi is often messed with for being short. Her mother has always called her ‘Mini’ like the mouse in Disney, but Taemi hates it. Her friends heard her mom say it once and call Taemi that occasionally to mess with her. She always yells at them when they do, but she forgives them easily.

Personality: Taemi is very shy when you first meet her and she seems rude but really she just doesn’t know how to act. She is very awkward with new people and has learned to just keep shut so she doesn’t embarrass herself. She is very talkative and energetic around people she knows. Taemi loves physical contact and is almost always touching someone, whether it be holding their hand, hugging them, or sitting close, she likes to be near people.

She is a bit of a klutz and tends to trip and bump into things a lot; when she does, she tries to laugh it off. Taemi is very easily startled and tends to scream when someone sneaks up on her or simply catches her off guard. She sometimes is even startled when she turns around and someone is just there.

She is very sweet and kind and would do anything for her friends. She is sometimes called a pushover because she prefers going with what everyone else wants rather than be judged for wanting to do something “lame.” She rarely will make decisions and is too self-conscious sometimes. She cares a lot about what people think of her and worries that people think she’s annoying.
