I has a question...

Is it normal to want to protect someone you barely know? I have this friend who's younger than me. She has a lot of issues in her life. I met her 4 months ago. She is like a daughter to me and now I'm feeling overly protective of her. She tells me about about her problems at home like every day. The more she tells me the more I want to protect her. I feel as if I need to, like it's compulsive our something. Is that normal? Or just plain creepy?

i think thats perfectly fine. not creepy at all. i mean, she has a lot of problems and is younger than you, and i think that its just a good instinct to protect someone like that. id do it too. in my opinion, what you're doing is really amazing.

Totally normal. I have friends whom I look out for and constantly protect. ^^

That is completely normal in my eyes. I have a a friend a few years younger than me and I'm always texting them, making sure they are okay because their home life is not the best.

It shouldn't really matter too much that you guys only been friends for a few months, it matters that you care. :)

i think it's pretty normal as long as she doesn't think you're being too overprotective and doing too much
other than that, i think you're just plain nice. :)
