If some one's been a fan of something for less time do you think less of them?

Hey, I was wondering if anyone thinks less of people if they've been a fan of something for less time that they're not as much as a fan?

Because I've gotten that vibe off a lot of people before, especially in the Kpop comunity. For example, just because I've only been a fan of SHINee for a year and a half, whose's to say I'm any less of a fan than some one who's been a fan for five years?

Because you never know, I could for example be much more devoted to being a fan than that person, and therefore wouldn't that make me the bigger fan, despite the time frame? (Just an example)

How do you feel when some one reveals they've been a fan for much longer/ much shorter than you?

Personally I don't judge people based on the length of their fan status.
Something I have also noticed, though, is if you are a fan since debut era you are rare and elevated in status.
This doesn't make sense to me either.

Kpop fandom in general doesn't make a lot of sense haha.
