... :(

My grandaunt died today.  My grandaunt with kind eyes who thought the younger me how to sing "Catch a Falling Star" while we baked. Now I sing that song everytime I make something in the kitchen. I will always remember my Sunday morning visits with her. Sitting on the porch having her pink lemonade and mini pavlovas, my favorite being the blueberry ones. Her wrinkled old hands would brush my long hair while she tells me the story of her life that I have come to memorize by heart, but always wanted to hear from her. It's like a favorite bedtime story that I cannot get enough of no matter how many times it was read to me. She passed away peacefully. And though I am told not to grieve for her death, but to celebrate her life, which has been lived well to the fullest ... I cannot help but feel sad and be a little pained that she is now indeed gone and I'll be missing her for the days to come.

Oh my sissy, sorry for reading this late.
My deepest condolences to you and your family. i srsly don't know yet how it truly feels to be in that place, to be losing someone so close to you, so dear and you love the most. All i know is that's painful. that sometimes you can't help but wish those things never happen. But sadly, eventually, we'd all go through that. It's just that we don't know when or how. I wish I'm just there to hug you right now and listen to you.
Sissy, it's ok to be sad even for a little, just until your heart can finally accept it. Know that she's in a better place now. And she'd be happy seeing you fine.
/hugssssssss/

stay strong, sissy!
