Personality: 

     Ae Ri is a really bubbly and cheerful girl, everyone around her loves her because she's always so happy. She has a really sweet personality but can be mischeivous because she's also the ultimate prankster. She's a complete goofball and whenever she laughs you can't help but laugh with her...mainly because she has a really strange laugh. It is rare to see how sad or angry because she is such an optimistic person. Actually, it is extremely difficult to get her mad because of how easygoing she is and when she does she prefers to keep it to herself. But when she reaches her limit, look out! Even though she is an extroverted person, she needs time to herself at times and her favorite way to calm down is to grab a book and read with a cup of hot chocolate no matter where she is. 

   Because of her kind and cheerful personality, Ae Ri gets along with just about everyone and is especially good with little kids. The younger trainees always go up to her for help because she is their favorite unnie/noona. She respects her sunbaes and looks up to them. Due to her clumsiness, she always ends up doing something embarrasing in front of them though but her sunbaes thinks it's amusing and it adds to her charm. She has natural aegyo but she tries not to use it because she knows it annoys some people.

BackGround:

    Ae Ri comes from a family of five who originally came from the States. Her mom actually had a teen pregnancy with her older brother and was forced to go back to South Korea to live with relatives for a little while. After Ae Ri's older brother, Min Joon was born, her mother went back to the states and met a young medical student in college. They fell in love and got married right after they graduated. Ae Ri was born in New York but her dad recieved a job offer in South Korea right after she was born and they moved to Jeonju where Ae Ri's dad worked as a doctor at the local hospital. Her little brother Jihoon was also born a few years later. 

   While at Myeongdong with a couple of her friends, Ae Ri was spotted by a SM representative and given an opportunity to audition. Since she grew up on Disney films and musicals, she was a natural at singing and acting. SMent accepted her right away and her family supported her from the sidelines.
