Blog #890: Why my layouts look so fine even with the toolbar upgrade [and explaining things to the best of my ability lol]

Some users were clamoring for the old toolbar because their layouts were messed up and I'm sitting here wondering why I was not affected. My layouts look fine.

Why? Maybe because they are uploaded in the Layout Marketplace.

Nefelibata's look fine.

Why? Because Nefelibata uses div boxes, float and places his codes inside a canvas :)

Says so in Nefelibata's tutorial

Let's say Jason fixes up AFF again and fiddle with the margins your divs will go haywire and go out of place that will suit AFF margins. (I've notice this doesn't apply if you have a canvas though, so canvas for the win.)

So to avoid this at all cost, just use float and it should align next to each other. Same with images. I suggest placing the images in divs with the 'float' feature.

We've been using AFF's editor for two years now and like a living organism, as it gets old, it decays and becomes prone to diseases and weak to attacks. I know that the editor is a non-living entity...I just don't know how to explain in simple terms and I don't know the technical terms. Oh, remember how we always have to update anti-virus softwares or else, our computer/laptop/phone is at risk of getting attacked by viruses? Viruses "evolve" and so we need a software that would be able to counter them.

It is the same with the text editor. It needs to be updated because of security risks. Please read AFFHelper blog post on that. You know where to find it.

What is more important? A layout that can be fixed or the text editor that we type our stories and blogs in?
