Personality :

If there's one thing to be said about Hyojung's personality, it's that she's very accesible. She's not usually considered pretty by idol standards, but she's definitely a down-to-earth and relatable girl. She prides herself in the fact that she hasn't let the toughness of the idol industry change her yet; she went into auditions as Seo Hyojung, and thoroughly plans to someday (in the far, far future) leave it as Seo Hyojung.She is thoroughly against plastic surgery and has no plans to get it in thte future, and is barely getting used to makeup; she's fine with her appearance and doesn't like the idea of changing it. She never got confessed to buy a guy throughout school and has yet to have her first kiss, but she doesn't care about that.

Hyojung is also a very confident girl. She loves to perform, and if she hadn't become an idol, she'd still probably be something like an underground rapper. Her stage presence is very good as well; it's really clear that she loves what she's doing. Hyojung really thinks that Royals has the potential to be one of Korea's top girl groups, and works very hard to make sure that that dream is a possibility. If that means long, tired nights and little to no sleep whatsoever, so be it. Seo Hyojung isn't the type of person that gives up easily. Until she practices so hard she collapses, no breaks, no stopping, no waiting. It's go hard or go home for Hyojung.

Flaws : She's stubborn to the point of hurting herself and others, notably. Hyojung's normal-ness is also to a fault, as she often forgets what's expected of idols vs. what's expected of normal people; she's rather unpolished as a whole. Hyojung also doesn't know how to take care of herself. She's also rather blunt.Lastly, Hyojung is a huge perfectionist.

Background : Although Hyojung was born in Bucheon, South Korea, her family moved to Glasgow a few months after she was born in order to start a new life for their new daughter. She grew up as pretty much any other girl would, visiting Bucheon when she had breaks from school and living full-time in Glasgow during the school year. She joined her school's dance team when she was in high school, which sparked a love for performing; she auditioned for SM Entertainment at the age of 16, moving to Seoul to continue her training.

He's also kind of insecure; if you point out one of his flaws there's a 99% chance he'll go to riduculous lengths to fix it. (Like all the weight he recently lost.)
How they met : They knew each other as trainees, but didn't really become close until the first SMTOWN concert Royals was a part of.
