Hello guys, I recently joined an event (--->) and made it to the third and final round. :D So for this one, you have to answer a question and it is:

For you, what is Christmas? 

 

Christmas used to be a lot of fun for me. My entire family would get together and celebrate it, aunts, uncles, cousins and all. We would eat a buttload of food and later, the kids would draw lots to see who would receive their presents first. Each child would get about ten presents in all plus a handful of chocolates, Christmas cards and red packets stuffed with money. It was awesome. The best year was when my little cousin received small guns and darts as and we had an every-person-for-themselves war with them. 

 

It was all fun and games until there came along a year where one of my aunts issued a divorce with my uncle and the entire family kind of fell apart from then on. Their children (my cousins) stopped talking to me and buying Christmas presents soon became more of an obligation because everybody else was buying gifts for me and the other kids as well. My parents stopped setting up the Christmas tree and I stopped looking forward to the holiday. 

 

Until the internet introduced me to the wonderful world of fan fiction. 

 

This year, I’ve participated in quite a few Christmas events (like this one and another secret Santa event on tumblr) and giveaways (though I haven’t won any yet /cries) and I do have to admit that it’s fun. I enjoy writing kpop-related fan fictions for others as well as receiving one in return even though they’re all for and from strangers.

 

Which leads me to the answer of the question: For me, Christmas is something that unites people. It’s a holiday that connects me to other kpop fans from all over the world. For me, Chirstmas is magical.
