background : Hanbin was born in Massachusetts, USA on the 17th of March 1993. He grew up there and studied in Boston University, from pre-school to high-school. He's from an upper-class family. His father is a CEO of a medicine company, while his mother is a dentist. He has an older brother named Siwon, who is an actor and singer in Korea, well known as a member of Super Junior. They are extremely close and depends on each other a lot.

When Hanbin graduated from high-school, he moved to Seoul with his parents. He quickly took interest in k-pop and auditioned in VS entertainment. After being trained for 4 years and a month, he was put in for debut and used his american name, Hayden, as his stage name.

Beginner

years of training : 4 years and a month.
trainee life : Hanbin was 16 years old when he auditioned in VS entertainment and came in 2nd place. When he first entered the trainee building, he was somehow a loner and was distant from the other trainees since he still wasn't fluent in Korean. He can even hear some people comparing him to his older brother, Siwon. When some american trainees came, he finally made friends. At his second year in training, he learned how to speak, write and read Korean and is now semi-fluent in it, as soon as that happened he befriended the korean trainees as well and with the help of his care-free personality, he managed to befriend almost all of them, as well as some of the staffs. The staffs thinks he is a great singer and rapper, but he lacks on the dancing part, so at his third year of training, he worked on his dancing skills as well as learning  how to speak in Chinese. He trained very hard, sometimes he will even stay up until 3 am working on the choreography. At his fourth year in training, he finally mastered his dancing skills and worked on his acting afterwards.
