How you guys met: Kyumi met Key when she was shopping in the mall late one night. The store was pretty much empty except for a few costumers and workers, here and there. Kyumi was ruffling through some of the hoodies in the back of the store, when she heard a slight lud and the sound of hangers clanging together. She walked around the corner of an isle and saw him there with clothes lying on the floor. Kyumi helped Key put away the clothes and the two of them got to talking and have been friends ever since.
Kyumi met Jonghyun and Taemin and the rest of SHINee from Key. Kyumi was holding a small little party, when SMent. let the trainee's out for a week and she invited Key, who invited the rest of his team.

How you became a trainee and trainee life: Kyumi's brother Jjong's friend had founded that the company had a training sign up and told him about it. Jjong jumped at the chance for his little sister to finally get her dream to come true and signed her up immediatly. He picked her up one day from school, brought her clothes and other shoes and took her straight there.
Trainee life for Kyumi was both hard and fun. She was surrounded by people who shared the same dream as her. They all worked hard but Kyumi tried to work even harder. She hardly ever talked to her parents and when she got the chance, she would only hear negatives things about where she was and what she was doing. She cried many times, having go through training and feeling alone but when she met her team, she felt like there were still things to fight for and she felt as if Jjong was still with her.

Rivals: Kim Soo Dae (A girl from Kyumi's highschool who always bugged her. It was a constant battle between the two. Whether it was in a dance competition, talent show, or even scoring higher on an exam, Kim Soo Dae wanted to be better than Kyumi at everything and because of that, Kyumi's life became harder with the constant comments flying from Soo Dae's mouth.)
