why i love Yong Junhyung;

why i love Yong Junhyung ...

It took me almost two years to decide who my ultimate bias in kpop is. At first it was Rain because I was infatuated with his abs from heaven. Afterwards I loved 2PM and couldn't decide who to like the most out of there. Now that I've listened to kpop a little bit more and have gone through a whole bunch of groups, deciding whether or not they were to my loking, I finally came up with a bias who will forever have my heart and support as long as kpop stays active in my life. That person is the Poppin' Dragon, the Untouchable Joker, Yong Junhyung.

He debuted a while back with a boy band Xing, a band that has none of its original members. They even lost two members of U-Kiss (one former member and one current member). Their biggest loss has to be Junhyung though. Those were the good days when he went by Poppin' Dragon. When he left he dropped his his singing act and became the rapper we all love today.

He was called Poppin' Dragon for a reason too. He's great at popping. He's great at producing and writing music as well as composing. He's a great rapper too. I'm not even exaggerating or putting things out of proportion. Of course there are others such as Kwon Ji Yong who have done the same but something about Junhyung really caught my eye and I can't really describe it.

The way Beast came together was like fate. All members of Beast with the exception of Dongwoon were AJ's, aka Kikwang's, backup dancers when he was promoting his song 'Dancing Shoes' a while back. That means, after Xing Junhyung became a backup dancer for AJ. They had to have been friends for at least a year before all being signed by Cube Entertainment.

Junhyung is charistmatic in his own way. He isn't known for being cute, hyper, or extremely muscly. But I like him either way. To me, his tattoos are a turn on and not because it's a bad boy thing that I like about him. I like him because he has this extreme amount of talent. I really wish that he got singing parts now that he's with Beast but he's a rapper now and you can tell when he smiles that he's happy doing what he does.

He's humble, which is something I love about idols. He isn't cocky or ignorant. Junhyung is caring towards his two hyungs and three dongsaengs. I felt so touched that he was touched as a response to all the support from the Beauties all over the world after his recent public outting as a couple with Goo Hara. I don't ship them together, and in fact I won't ship him with anyone besides someone who is in Beast or myself, but as long as he's happy, I'm happy.

At first Junhyung wasn't even my Beast bias. It was Yoseob first because I had a habit of falling for the best voices in the group before actually getting to know some of their personalities. I thought Hyunseung's dancing was amazing and thought he'd be my bias forever. That changed when I saw Kikwang (or his abs more like), then Doojoon because he's a great leader who can also act like a kid, and finally Dongwoon because I realized just because he's the maknae doesn't mean kid lacks talent. In fact Dongwoon has had the most inprovement since their Beast debut and yet he still doesn't get a lot of screen time. Junhyung caught my eye last because at first I thought it was unattractive the way he had his hair styled throughout the 'Beast is the B2ST' era and 'Shock' time period. Once I saw it regularly grown back at the 'Beautiful' and 'Soom' promotion era I realized it wasn't too bad. Straight hair is just my preference, not half shaven because let's face it, nobody can pull it off like SHINee's Key did for the Luficer promotion era.

I find it amazing that Junhyung went from singing and dancing to something similar to a Korean Backstreet Boys type genre and style of music to Beast's style of pop. They may both be hip hop but if you've ever listened to the Backstreet Boys, you'd see a difference in what I'm talking about. When I heard that he had attended Anyang that's what pretty much inspired me to base my Teacher to Student Relations oneshots on. Almost every oneshot I've written for that collection, the student and teacher belong to that school. I would love to go there just because he's walked down those halls. That just goes to show how much talent can come out of that place. I looked at their alumni list and Jung Ji Hoon (Rain) was on there too along with some others who are extremely famous in the kpop world today.

In Hah Guk's 'Hello' and 'I Told You I Wanna Die' videos, I wanted to cry when I saw him getting hurt. He's a great actor and I seriously think that he should contemplate going into the acting business like Choi Seunghyun did. I mean that guy balances his rapping career with acting pretty well and he hasn't had any scandals about him so it's working for him, so why won't it work for our Joker? He doesn't have to play any whimpy role just because their all romance dramas. Seunghyun played an assassin in Iris, a Japanese drama that South Korea took on as a project to make it their own.

Back when Junhyung and Yoseob promoted their duet for Beast Airline's concert, it amazed me. 'Thanks To' was one of the most touching songs I've heard directed towards fans other than a song that 2PM preformed and wrote around the year Jay left the band. From what I understand, he wrote the song 'Thanks To' just as he has written other songs for Beast. I found it extremely nice that he went all out for the fan that did a parody of 'Like a G6' and mentioned that person's alias in his song. Ever since you can find comments all over the place that some Beast member wants to be fly like Yong Junhyung.

Junhyung believes that it's hard for him to show cuteness but him in himself is just cute. He doesn't have to do anything for me to just starting to adore him. When Heechul was teasing him for having a 'fat tongue' he was getting embaressed and it was adorable and I'm sure he wasn't even meaning to be cute, it was just something that came natural. I love how that even though his figure is slim he has almost chubby cheeks that are aborable.

I could probably go on and on why I feel that this guy deserves more recognition than he has already but I wouldn't be able to type it all; my fingers would get too tired. I'll leave it at this: I'm the biggest Jester out there and I support him all the way and wish him luck in further work. Whether he be Yong Jaesoon, Poppin' Dragon, the Untouchable Joker, or just Yong Junhyung, I will support this guy with everything I'm worth because he deserves it for working as hard as he has in the past to the present day.

you know what's weird? i never really noticed junhyung until more recently also, and i can see that you admire him greatly. it kind of reminds me of my own admiration for my own ultimate bias ^^ i have blogs about that too. but i'm glad there are other fans who see past the idol persona and see the idol as a person ♥

I just watched Hello! :O

He's those guys that are underrated. B2ST as a whole is like this. :)

It seems like the idol composers have something in common ("Yong") :D
