Hana was born in China, because it was Myungsoo's birthday and they're on holiday and apparently, her mother just need to give birth there. After she was born, their parents decided to stay in China until her mom recover, but myungsoo and moonsoo want to go back to Korea. So, her father take care of her brother in Korea while her mom raise her in China and that's the reason why her chinese is fluent. She move back to Korea when she's 13 years old, that time she's already into dancing,rapping and stuff. So when she's 14 she auditioned and get accepted in woolim. But she's just 14 and get a lot of hated by myungsoo's fans since she was her sister and get accepted in woolim, people said she doesn't have talents, she can be in woolim just because of her brother.
That time she's just emotional 14 years old,so she couldn't take it anymore and quit. One day she join dance competition and one of people from SM saw her talents and scout her, at first she's still hesitating about to accept the offer or not, but her brothers encourage her and she join SM

Just like her nickname, she didn't smile that often and she's not the cheerful type. She can be very moody sometimes that she's all sad then 5 minutes later she can be all dorky and funny, seconds later you would see her in poker face. She's not short temper, when people annoyed her or make her angry she would just keep it inside, but if people hurt her loved ones,her family and friends no one would be able to stop her. She can't open up easily but she can listen to other people story well, she can give them good advices but the weird things is, she can't solve her own problems.
She's a very strong girl and it would be very hard to see her cry because of feelings, if she do cry, she must be hurted a lot. She can gain people trust easily ,but people can't gain her trust easily. And one thing, based on what people say she's not that smart but she's clever.

Then when they're about to go home each members have different schedule and practice except Kai who was given time to rest because he injured himself, Krystal who think Kai and Hana look cute together suggest that Hana should have treat Kai because she doesn't have schedule. At first it was very awkward super duper awkward until Kai break the silence in the car and talk about dance and stuff
