Surprisingly, he's actually being supported a lot in Korea.
He's currently trending #1 in Korea and all of the comments are positive.
They're saying how brave and courageous he is and how cool he is and how much they love him.

Also, there was an article posted on Naver about this and again, the comments were positive.
There were a few negative comments, but nobody liked them.
They only had dislikes. 

So the positivity outweighs the negativity. 

Thats good to hear but the articles about the gay director/producer's marriage always got many negative comments. thats why i thought and worried that he'd receive backlash.

I will not be surprise if the person who wrote that essay will invite him to the university to give a talk about lgbt issue or experiences with the lgbt community. I want to hear him giving speeches about lgbt issues. I like how he is open-minded. so much respect to him. Many idols need to learn from him. And isn't he an atheist? that explains it. Not to say that people with religion are not open-minded but atheist people are more likely to be open-minded imo.
