1. what's your name? :) any nicknames that you like?
My name is Nirasha. In Sinhala (my mother tongue) it means un materialistic. My family’s nickname for me is Dee. My friends call me Benji – 1. Coz I’m fan of Breaking Benjamin 2. I don’t want to say

 

2. who is your bias, and why?
Onew. He’s sweet, crazy, clumsy & has the voice of an angel (seriously. I 1^st checked out SHINee cause my friend was crazy over Minho & kept bugging me to check him out. But when I was watching the video I kept getting distracted by a certain voice. I took me a while figure out who it was. Turns out it was Onew. I also think that he’s an amazing leader.

(Lately I’ve started to like Sungmin from Super junior as well)

 

3. are you a reader or a writer here on aff? or a graphics kind of person? layouts? :o
I’m a reader. I’m a Graphic Designer by profession.

 

4. do you like singers or dancers? ;)
Singers. I like Dance but I tend to focus more on the voices.

 

5. what's a color that describes you?

Hmm… my fav colour is black & I guess it kinda fits me too. I like the dark. I’m someone who is a mystery sometimes even to my closest friends.

 

6. do you remember your first love? tell me your story! :)
I can’t exactly remember a first love. But I had a huge crush on a guy-friend when I was around 15. We got along really well. But later I found out he liked one of my friends who happened to be his neighbour. She liked him too. So I backed out.  But it so happened that I was their only mutual friend so both of them would talk to me about the other. I was the go – between messenger. That !!! But I got over it & have no contact with him anymore ( Also I met the girl few months ago & found out she got married to someone else). Ironically about a year later my crush’s best friend ended up confessing & became my 1^st BF. We broke up after a while, but we are still on good terms. 

 

7. what do you think is the most essential quality in a friend?
acceptance. I want a friend who accepts & loves me for who I am. I think everyone tends to wear a mask because of certain people & situations. But when you are with your friends, you shouldn’t have to pretend.

 

8. what is asianfanfics to you?

For me AFF is an escape. I’m someone who loves imagination. AFF has become an escape from reality. Also the being a Kpop or Kdrama fan is considered weird. At AFF its like a haven 4 all the weirdos to band together & share our obsession :)

 

9. what are some of your hobbies?
Reading, Listening to music, reading, watching dramas….Did I mention reading???

 

10. something others mistaken about you all the time?
An innocent goody-two-shoes/ good little church girl. Well I can be a bit rule abiding at times. But I’m no way innocent at least in mind.

 

11. what kind of person is your role model? :)
A person who will work their off to achieve their dream. I have no self-discipline. I’m like “Ok! I’m gonna do this super awesome project. Its going to be brilliant……Oh wait!!! New story update on AFF. *Off to read, forget about work*

1.       What is your biggest fear?
Failing in life & becoming a disappointment to my parents. Also Falling flat on my face in a public place

 

2. Who is your ideal idol type? (Looks and personality count)
            A caring, sweet weirdo with an amazing voice. I also have a thing for glasses (Yesung & Onew)

 

3.       What is your favourite drama?
School 2013 – I Loved It!!!! I love how they did not concentrate on romance (Bromance aside) but more on the issues kids deal with. Acting was superb.One of the very few Korean Dramas that manged to to nail a proper ending. 

 

King 2 Hearts – South & North unity through royal marriage. Even though Romance was central to the plot, my favourite was the journey of the spolit prince to becoming a great king. I think this was Lee Seungi’s best drama to date. The bromance between the king & his bodyguard was adorable as well. Acting, Soundtracks, plot was amazing. 4.       What are your thoughts when someone does aegyo?
I don’t have anything against it. I’m not overly fond of it either.

 

5. Who do you wish you looked like?
I wish I had the awesome skin complexion of all these kpop girls. Hmmm.. looks wise maybe be choi sooyoung. 

 

6. Favourite bubble tea flavour?
I’ve never had bubble tea. So no favs.

 

7. Favourite book?
hmmm… that’s hard cause the list is endless, I tend to read anything I can get my hands on. I would pick Harry Potter as it was a huge part of my childhood so that's a no-brainer. Still a huge Potterhead. I love classics like Pride & prejudice, Count of Monte Christo etc. Love Sherlock Holmes, I think I have read all of them both in English & translated versions. Dan Brown is also an amazing author. I love “The da vinci code” & “angels & demons” especially.

 

8. Favourite game?
Scrabble I guess. Or Chess.

 

9. What annoys you the most and why?
Back stabbing. Its something very cowardly. I get really annoyed & hurt when I come across people like that.

 

10. What do you first think of when the words 'Red lips' are said???
Vampire….. what??? I couldn’t think of anything else.

Harry Potter fan through & through. Currently an ELF & Shawol.

Hogwarts, Narnia, Korea, Rome, France (Louvre Museum)
 

4. What's something you'd say to your ten-year-old self? And to your thirty-year-old self?

10 – Don’t worry. Things are going to be ok.

30- I hope future me is happy & not some miserable cat lady.

Food, Gun, first aid kit, cell phone, Books.

7. What's something you've watched or read that made you cry manly tears into your pillow?

I’m very soft-hearted when it comes to fiction so I endup crying all the time when I read something.
