I won NaNoWriMo...

... with a fanfic anthology called Modern Life.

It looks promising, what with 50,000 words of writing, but really most of it is nonsense. Still, there are about 12 stories that could be publishable*, although most of them are quite short.

The mood of the anthology is pretty sad. The theme was obviously to do with the pressures of modern life, and there's much to do with loneliness, finding meaning in life, and trying to maintain relationships and connections with people.

Writing 2000 words in a day isn't hard, but doing it consistently can be. Sometimes you just don't feel like writing and you hate your stories and you hate yourself... to tell the truth, constant creativity can be draining and it's easy to burn out. The hardest part is finishing a story and immediately having to think of a new one to write, or getting half way through a story and realising that it and what am I even doing with my life, I never want to write fic again omg

Anyway, it happened. I'm still working on it, but will start editing and then posting soon. A.n.t.i.c.i.p.a.t.e....

* I just reread this, and I think it sounds a bit too pretentious - by publishable I mean I would post them on AFF lol, since they were all fanfic.
