Background : Hazel was 12 years old back then. She's too young to know the reason why her parents always argued 24/7 over nothing. She hates the way her father urged her to practice drawing realistic pictures and all. When she asked her father if she could join a dancing competition, her father would say "No need to join the competition, it's better to study,". She knew studying is important but couldn't she atleast rest for a bit? She hates her father for not understanding her. She got no one to express her feelings. But one day, her sister, Kim Hyo Mi, fights back for her when her parents knew that she attended a competition secretly. She was touched. Finally there's someone who understood her. Her sister showed a video of Hazel singing and her parents were impressed. And because of that, they allowed her to be a singer.

Personality : Likes to be alone, cheerful when her friends are around. She's not the one who would ask boys out first. Always keep others' secrets.

Trainee History : Hazel was on her way back from SM Entertainment's building with her parents as the founder, Lee Soo Man asked them to meet up. Sadly, she wasn't chosen to be one of the trainee. They rode back home but unfortunately, they bumped onto another car. She was safe but her parents wasn't. She felt sorrowful. She was ashamed of herself. She cried every night and her sisters would comfort her and told her to move on. Atlast, she joined the school's singing & dancing club so that she could forget about the accident and enjoy precious time with her friends. They practiced real hard so that they could win on a contest. And they did take the first place. Months later, she graduated from Kirin Arts High School. She was back to being sad. She missed her friends, and the memories that they've made together. On the last day, she stopped walking and looked back. She decided to take a picture of her school. 'Kck!' She turned around with a heavy sigh and was shocked to see a lady in her 30's smiling at her. The lady asked her if she wanted to join TS Entertainment. At first she was hesistant not knowing what would happen to her. Then the scene at the SM's building came back. ' "You couldn't be a superstar no matter how much you tried," '.
