Personality:
Janghyuk is too secretive for his own mental stability, when it comes to himself or his feelings, he’ll always hide himself behind a cute bright smile or childish jokes and pranks that only make him laugh. Even if he’s too reserved about himself, when it came to others stuff, he’s curious as hell. He always need to know what’s going on around him so he always search for others trust, like this people like telling him what’s going on, how they feel, what they feel or think, and all that. He’s like a counseulor for most of his friends, listening to all of their problems and always saying the correct words of what they can do (knowing about others misfortunes makes him forget about himself and his advice usually help him when he has some difficulties).
Alexander is perfectionist and determined, never giving up until what he wants comes out perfectly done, getting totally frustrated when something doesn’t works as he wanted to. He’ll usually keep doing it, getting more and more frustrated. Like everyone he has his limits, and when he reaches it he’ll hide somewhere and cry or go to ‘Bampo bridge’ and scream until he lets everything out. The first time he auditioned to an entertainment company (DSP) he sung ‘Forever Love’ by Fin K.L and failed at one note, so he failed the audition. He hurried out of the audition place and run right into his mother arms, crying and making his small sister cry too by seeing her beloved prince cry. Even if he got rejected, he auditioned again and again in different companies until he joined TSE.
Some people describe him as a creative kid. He usually creates stories to tell his sister. Stories about princesses and charming princes, magic, fairies, dragons and all kind of fantastic creatures and events. He’ll draw some of these beings so his sister could clearly imagine them while he’s narrating the story to his beloved little princess. Even if he was really, really talented in drawing and creating stories, he was really good at school too, usually placing in the top 10 of his school ranking.
Background:
1997: September 13th. Day JangHyuk was born. Parents: Baek Ilhwa (20) and Hwang Jinhyuk (25). He was born in Boston, USA.
1999: December 25th. The first time he went to Korea. He and his parents stayed there until January 15th, 2000.
2000: Even being a baby, the first time he heard a Fin K.L song he started dancing and giggling.
2003: His first day at school. Even at this young age he was bullied for being Asian and for speaking English with a strange accent. Alex was really shy and had no friends.
2003: October 10th, the day he met his first friend at school. It was a young girl at his grade; she was hiding in a corner, crying because no one liked her. He hugged her and since then they became friends.
2004: march: His father was notified that they should go back to Korea. He went first and when Alex finished his school year he and his mother went there too.
2004: October 13th: He and his mother found out his father had cheated on his mother on the time they were still in the states. His father decides to leave the house.
2004: November 8th, his mother told him she was pregnant. First he felt jealous because he didn’t want his mother to be stolen away by someone else, but then, as he saw his mother belly grow bigger and bigger he couldn’t help but love his sister.
2005: May 17th, at 12 am was born Janghyuk most loved person, his little sister Agatha. He was told give her name and he decided for Agatha, since that was the name of his friend in the states.
2006: at October he told his mother he wanted to be an idol like Lee Hyori and inspire other kids. She smiled, hugged him and told him to follow his dream. She helped him find auditions.
2006: His first audition ever. He was so nervous and accidentally failed a high note while singing ‘Forever Love’. He met his best friend here, she heard him sing and while he was crying with his mom she went towards him and hugged him, saying he was really good and shouldn’t give up.
2006: Mirim and JangHyuk auditioned together for JYP, she was immediately accepted while he failed. She said she would let the opportunity go and they should find a new company to be together but he rejected the idea.
2007: Janghyuk auditioned in YG and passed the audition, being accepted in this company. Because of contract issues, he couldn’t join YG family.
2008: Janghyuk’s mother received a call for a new entertainment company “Cube”. Since his audition in YG was impressive they thought he should join in here. He joined and started training.
2009: June 18th, first live performance of 4minute. He was glad because, even if they were not close friends, he still really liked Sohyun at that time. When he saw the group perform live he felt really happy, dreaming of how it would feel to be there.
2011: he got injured, breaking one hand almost completely. He wasn’t sad because of the pain but because it meant he wouldn’t be able to debut soon.
2012: he went to lotte world with his mother and sister. While they went to the bathroom he saw the “cutest guy of the world” crying next to one of the roller coasters. He couldn’t help it but run towards him, trying to make him stop crying. When he found out the guy was a trainee just like him, they became close friends almost immediately.
