Background :
Deurim's mother is from Hong Kong and father is from Korea. She is born in Hong Kong and only move back to Korea when Deurim is 10. After moving back to Korea, her parents divorced. Deurim follows her mother and her mother re-married with another korean man. Deurim's step father is nice to her although they are not blood related. When she was in elementary school, she joined the dance club in her school and realised her talent in dancing so she got really interested in it and even asked her parents to send her to ballet lesson. When she return to Korea, she attend middle school and joined the peforming arts club and then she realised her singing talent. Starting from age 13, she's really interested in both singing and dancing and practise really hard on her own. When she's 17, she auditioned for PS Entertainment and was accepted. After training there, she was trained in rapping and pick up the skill rather well too.

Jang Deurim, meet the girl that is all-you-need. The definition of "all-you-need"? One would be thinking, it must be friendly, caring and helpful. Deurim is friendly, caring and helpful but what "all-you-need" means here is not that! It's actually stubborn, sarcastic and silly, a.k.a the 3S. Most people's first impression of her is that she's a dynamic and fun-loving girl. She's an active character everywhere she go, even if she just met someone for the first time, she can be really comfortable with them like they have been friends for months or even years - that explains to you friendly. There's nothing that wouldn't come out from , she speaks her mind, too frankly - which often comes out as being blunt.

"I was shocked, I thought it was just a joke. You know, belated april's fool maybe? But when the truth sinks in, I was extremely sad and disappointed about it. My thought at the moment was just, is this the end? Can I still continue what I want to do?"

"Jihyeon unnie's debut was such a success. Although I don't know much about the details, but I heard that 90% of PS Ent's income was from Jihyeon unnie's activities. It was totally understandable that if she's leaving, the whole company will just be an empty shell. There's nothing much we can do about it but to accept the sad truth."

"Well, I can't really explain how I felt at that time, everything was just too sudden. We just debut and Jihyeon unnie is leaving I- firstly, I am really dejected, I mean Jihyeon unnie is really nice to us. The news of her leaving PS Ent or rather the kpop world is just too sudden. I don't blame anyone, no one wanted this to happen, I believe."

We did a few successful comeback, we were also the best rookie group of the year. Summer Time wasn't exactly disbanded, some members went solo, some left the industry. For me, I am now an actress. Ah, I forgot to mention, I got married just 4 years back. I have a lovely 3 years old daughter now."
