There are no Hyunjoo on-stage. There are only Mint, who is standing on the stage with her groupmates, looked so confident and a little bit arrogant. She attract many fans with her cute yet cool appearance. However, it's just her image in front of camera. During interview, Hyunjoo rarely speak up. She always sit/stand behind the others and not talking at all. She just need to offer her cute smile and give reaction when its needed.

Being one of the youngest of the group doesn't means that people spoiling her. Hyunjoo worked really hard so people will recognize her and acknowledge her rap, dance and singing ability. Hyunjoo practise until midnight when ever she can because she want to improve herself. Hyunjoo wants herself to become better and better.

Off-stage, Hyunjoo is Hyunjoo. She's just a teenager with playful side and love to joke around with people. She like a child who knows nothing and pretty gullible because she's easily trust in people, even strangers. Hyunjoo laughs loud a lot, she enjoys it when people around her laughs with her. She's quite clingy into her close friends and family, including her groupmates. On the other side, Hyunjoo can be mature if she needed to. She's really trustworthy because she can keep the others' secrets well yet she couldn't talk about her own secret with anyone. Unfortunately, Hyunjoo is pretty forgetful. She easily forget strangers name, forget where did she put her things, even she often can't remember her own phone number. This side of her make people around her often worry. Her brother likes to look after her every time he can because of this.

 Background:

Jung Hyunjoo, born in Gwangju, South Korea on 24 August 1995. Her father (Jung Dong-il, 48) is a professor and her mother (Yang Baekhee, 47) is a housewife with three childs. She's the younger sister of Jung Minjoo (known as JOO) and the rapper of CUBE Entertainment's boygroup, BTOB's Ilhoon. Hyunjoo's family moved to Seoul when she was around 6 due to her father's job at one of the most well-known university in Seoul. Born as the sister of idols doesn't make Hyunjoo wants to be an idol like her older sibling at first. She doesn't really think about living like that until finally she's gotten into arts when she was around 8. It was TVXQ's debut periode that made her fell into the entertainment world. She desperately wanted to become an idol since that.

With the help of her siblings, Hyunjoo managed to learn some about dancing, singing, rapping and performing in front of many people. She took some vocal lessons beside her school and japanese-teaching-time that provide by her brother. At the age of 13, Lucky Hyunjoo passed the audition of SM Entertainment at the first try.

 Trainee Background:

Hyunjoo thought that become a trainee was the best thing ever, but after she did it herself, she realized that she was wrong. Become a trainee is really hard and tiring. It's really stressful when the trainees don't have a strong mentality and passion. Hyunjoo suffered a lot at the first year she learning there. She needed to focus on her school and her lessons at the company at the same time. She wakes up early every day, practising and keep practising a whole day and went sleep almost midnight. Although it was really hard, Hyunjoo likes to motivate herself to keep strong and not giving up at what she want to do since she was young. She managed to enjoy the training periods, after all.

 How You Met:

Hyunjoo met him at her first day of training at SM Entertainment Trainee Building. Hyunjoo and Joonmyun attending the same vocal lesson class and sat side by side during the lesson. Even though Joonmyun was trained years before Hyunjoo came, Joonmyun doesn't treat her like he is her senior. He treated her well, and even shared his water when the class dismissed.

 How You Interact:

Basically Hyunjoo and Joonmyun already consider each other as a close friend since they've known each other for years now. Even though they have a quite different personality (as Hyunjoo is the loud ones while Joonmyun is rather timid and shy than a noisy guy) Joonmyun enjoys to spend his spare time with Hyunjoo. They do many things together (of course if they can) like  hanging out to some market nearby the company, or even a little things like they just sitting side by side in the company lobby and talk about random things or just watching some films together through Hyunjoo's laptop. Whenever Hyunjoo had free from her schedules, Hyunjoo likes to call or send some messages to Joonmyun, and the latter likes to do so between his busy activities.

 How You Met:

Their first meeting happened on the day when a company dinner was held to inform the other idols under SM Entertainment that the company will be debuting a new girl group as the female version of EXO. There, when Royal Rebel's members were announced all people that attending that dinner stood and congratulated them one by one. One of them was Henry, and he hugged all the girls. Because Hyunjoo stood at the end of the Royal Rebel's members line up, Henry said that he wishes the best for them in front of her. Hyunjoo grinned happily because of that.

 How You Interact:

Because of the similiarity between their personality, Hyunjoo and Henry get along really well. They had a lot of fun together, and mostly Henry spent their time together with saying some nonsense things to Hyunjoo, and in this case, unfortunately Hyunjoo believes all the things Henry told her. During many programs, Henry likes to announce that Hyunjoo is one of his favorite junior and she's her ideal type of girl. They do skinship a lot, but Hyunjoo never thought that it cross their friendship line because she consider him as her second brother.

Scene Suggestions:

✿ At midnight, after the routine dance practice, Joonmyun comes to SM Building and wants to pick her up. But then, Hyunjoo beg him to accompany her watching a romcom film instead even though it's already late.

✿ The first time Royal Rebel join the SMTOWN line up for SMTOWN World Tour Concert, Hyunjoo feels so nervous and nearly crying because she think that she can not do it. But then Joonmyun takes her to the back stage and ask her to listen to the fans' cheers. After he calms her down, Hyunjoo thanks him by giving him a peck on his cheek.

✿ Royal Rebel have a collaboration with EXO; they sung Seoul Song together, maybe?

✿ Royal Rebel involved in a car accident. The members are all right, but some of them had traumatized briefly. The SMTOWN members, especially EXO boys worry about them and always look after them by calling them during their schedules.

✿ EXO, Royal Rebel and BTOB attend the same music program. Hyunjoo meet his brother before they're going to rehearsal, and there they both meet Joonmyun on the way going to the stage. There are some awkward conversation between Joonmyun and Ilhoon.

✿ Joonmyun and Hyunjoo were having lunch together at the company's cafetaria when suddenly Henry come and hugging Hyunjoo's neck from behind. Joonmyun look at Henry and Hyunjoo with surprise and then he shift uncomfortably at his seat.
